What it is
Using a meeting bot, Avoma captures conversations, generates transcripts and AI notes, prepares follow-up messages, and writes insights to CRM records. Scheduling, lead routing, conversation analysis and revenue tools extend the service. It runs on web, mobile, desktop, browser extension and API connections, with recorder-seat pricing and a 14-day trial.
For and against
For
- Live transcription, AI note generation and drafted follow-ups

- Support for 62 transcription languages
- No-cost viewer access plus a 14-day evaluation period
- Android, iOS, macOS, web, extension and API options
Against
- Recording requires a paid plan
- API availability varies by plan and is limited to 60 requests per minute
- Salesforce connections depend on recorder licenses and Enhanced Notes
- Bot setup and meeting joins may need additional configuration
- The breadth may overwhelm solo or non-sales users
The verdict
Choose Avoma if meetings feed a defined sales process and you need transcripts, follow-up work, CRM notes and pipeline indicators together. The 14-day trial provides access to the Organization feature set for evaluation. Recording requires paid recorder seats, although viewers are free. Verify Salesforce prerequisites and API availability early. Teams seeking occasional transcription alone may want a narrower product, while larger sales organizations can expand into routing, coaching, forecasting and access controls.

The review
Overview
Avoma pairs automated meeting assistance with tools for revenue operations. A bot joins meetings, creates transcripts and summaries, and can send notes and insights into CRM records.
The platform also covers scheduling pages, lead distribution, searchable call analysis, deal-risk monitoring, forecasting and natural-language queries through Ask Avoma. These capabilities connect meetings with sales processes and CRM maintenance.
Features
During meetings, Avoma can produce live transcripts and AI notes, compose follow-up emails and place notes in CRM records. It transcribes 62 languages and works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex and GoToMeeting.
Users can create unlimited one-to-one scheduling pages as well as group and round-robin pages. Lead Router qualifies website forms, applies distribution rules and manages outbound handoffs between SDRs and account executives.
Conversation Intelligence provides coaching suggestions, call scores, smart trackers and searchable meeting review. Revenue Intelligence covers deal-risk notices, methodology tracking, win-loss analysis, pipeline changes and forecasting. With the necessary add-on and connections, Ask Avoma searches meetings, emails, CRM information and other linked sources.
Pricing
Avoma follows a freemium model without a free plan for recording users. Annual Startup billing is $19 per recorder seat each month, allowing up to 25 paid seats and unlimited view-only seats; monthly billing is $29 per recorder seat.
Organization is $29 monthly per recorder seat on annual billing or $39 with monthly billing. Enterprise is $39 per recorder seat monthly on an annual contract, with at least 10 paid seats.
The Lead Router add-on is $19 monthly per seat with annual billing. Revenue Intelligence and Conversation Intelligence are each $29 monthly per seat when billed annually. View-only accounts cost nothing and can watch recordings, read notes and transcripts, comment and share.
A 14-day trial requires no card, opens Organization features and all add-ons without stated limits, and converts the account to Viewer status afterward.
Platforms
Clients are available for Android, iOS, macOS, the web, a browser extension and API use. iPhone and iPad users need iOS or iPadOS 17.0 or newer. Android playback supports speed changes and replaying meeting videos.
The macOS application offers Zen and Full modes, updates in the background and has separate Apple-silicon and Intel downloads. API documentation describes scoped keys, client secrets, meeting and recording routes, transcription and note resources, scorecards and webhooks.
Support
Avoma's Help Center provides setup, troubleshooting, integration, recording, application and release materials. Developer documentation explains authentication, request and response formats, endpoints, rate limits, terminology and webhook configuration.
Its software is hosted in AWS facilities in the United States, with core application servers in a private virtual cloud. Avoma says customer data is encrypted while moving and at rest, and that third-party penetration tests occur at least once each year.
The company says it holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certifications and provides GDPR measures including consent notices for recordings and deletion requests. Enterprise plans include DPAs, SAML/OIDC single sign-on, retention controls and HIPAA compliance.
Limits
Only certain plans include API use; administrators must create keys, and traffic is limited to 60 requests per minute. Salesforce synchronization also depends on recorder licenses and Salesforce Enhanced Notes.
Some functions require add-ons or higher tiers. Organization includes limited Conversation Intelligence, while Global Ask Avoma appears with Enterprise and the Conversation Intelligence add-on.
Meeting-bot setup, CRM connections and organization-specific terminology may take work. Reviews mention occasional minor bugs, navigation that can be easier, cleanup for accents or overlapping speech, and a feature set that may feel excessive for solo or non-sales use.
Verdict
Avoma is suited to sales groups that want captured meetings, searchable transcripts and CRM updates in one product. Free viewer accounts let larger teams share recordings without purchasing a seat for every viewer.
Routing, coaching, forecasting and cross-source questions make the service more useful for structured revenue operations. Before subscribing, review recorder-seat billing, add-on charges and API eligibility. Smaller teams or non-sales users may find the setup and breadth unnecessary.
