Dropbox Fax (formerly HelloFax)
What it is
Dropbox Fax, formerly HelloFax, is a web service for sending and receiving faxes through email or a browser. It provides virtual fax numbers, international faxing, cloud access, and encrypted transmissions. Free access sends five pages, with up to 20 additional pages available through sharing or quick actions; receiving faxes requires a paid account. Paid access offers flexible plans or pay-as-you-go, with no paid price listed. Users can fax from any device and receive documents on computers, tablets, or mobile devices, although no mobile apps are listed. Received faxes arrive as PDFs, while sending uses uploaded files such as PDF and DOCX. The service supports multiple numbers and users, inbound routing, and transfer of existing numbers in the US and Canada. It integrates with Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, and Evernote, and provides an API and SDKs. Dropbox Fax says there is no trial and no credit card is required.
