What it is
Acuity Scheduling is appointment-booking software that lets customers book, change, or cancel appointments themselves. Businesses can create branded booking pages, embed them on an existing website, or share them through a custom link or QR code. It supports individual services as well as group classes, workshops, and events, with payments, deposits, and tips through Stripe, Square, PayPal, or Venmo. Calendar sync works both ways with Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCloud.
The software includes automated reminders, round-robin scheduling, multiple-location management, and client profiles that can hold intake-form submissions and appointment history. Staff receive notifications about new, rescheduled, and canceled appointments. Admin apps for iOS and Android can manage calendars, availability, clients, invoices, and payments. Acuity also offers an embeddable scheduler, API, OAuth2, webhooks, and integrations including Zapier. Plans start at $16 per user per month with annual billing; the Starter plan includes one calendar, while Standard and Premium include up to six and 36 calendars. There is no free plan, but every plan has a seven-day trial without a credit card. Applicable taxes are extra.
