Yes, you can create AI music on a Samsung Galaxy phone: Google documents music generation in the Gemini Android app, with MP3 downloads. Gemini with Lyria is the clearest Android-native option in this research; Suno is another song-generation alternative, while Eleven Music is a useful benchmark available on the ElevenLabs website. Availability, limits, and commercial-use rights depend on the service and account, so check current terms before publishing a track.
Compare AI Music Options for Galaxy Phones
| Service | Documented access | Music workflow and downloads | Limits and account details | Rights notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gemini with Lyria | Gemini Android app and web app | Generate music from a prompt; download audio as MP3 or a cover-art video as MP4. Google’s help describes short tracks as about one minute and full tracks as about two to three minutes. | Full-track creation requires switching the Gemini model to Pro. Users must be 18 or older, signed into a personal or supported work/school Google Account, and have Keep activity enabled. Generation may be limited. | Generated music includes an embedded digital watermark. Check current Google terms for intended use. |
| Suno | Relevant song-generation service; this research does not establish a specific Galaxy app workflow | Generates songs. The cited rights guidance, rather than a controlled feature or quality comparison, is the clearest verified distinction. | Plan terms depend on when a song is created and the subscription active at that time. | Basic songs are for non-commercial use, and Suno says it retains ownership of Basic songs. Pro/Premier songs made while subscribed receive commercial-use rights; Suno says subscribers are considered owners of those songs. Ownership and commercial permission are different. |
| Eleven Music | ElevenLabs website; API access requires a paid plan | Prompt full tracks with genre, mood, style, structure, instruments, vocals, and lyrics. Edit sections and lyrics after generation; export MP3. | Check the current service terms and plan details before relying on particular features or allowances. | ElevenLabs describes broad commercial clearance, subject to Music Terms and tier details. Its publishing guidance says free-plan Eleven Music publication requires attribution; paid-plan commercial licensing has conditions, including not using Beta Services. |
How to Make AI Music on a Galaxy Phone
- Open Gemini on your Android phone or tablet, or visit gemini.google.com, and choose Create music.
- Write a prompt describing the kind of track you want. For example: “Create a mellow instrumental for a quiet evening, with soft piano and a gentle beat.” This is a prompt example, not a guarantee of specific controls.
- If you need a full track, switch the Gemini model to Pro, as Google’s help page instructs.
- Listen to the result and download the audio as an MP3, or download the cover-art video as an MP4.
- Before using the file in a project or publishing it, check account and regional availability, current service limits, and the applicable rights terms.
Google’s help page describes short tracks as about one minute and full tracks as about two to three minutes. It also notes that generation may be limited, so you may need to wait for limits to refresh or upgrade.
Which Alternative Fits Your Need?
For an Android music-generation workflow
Gemini with Lyria is the strongest documented fit here for creating music directly from an Android phone. Google documents the Android app workflow and MP3 downloads, but availability can vary by region, account, and rollout. Check the live app rather than assuming every Galaxy phone or account has access.
For song generation with plan-specific rights
Suno is worth comparing if you want generated songs, but understand its plan terms before making music for commercial use. Suno’s help guidance distinguishes Basic songs from songs made while subscribed to Pro or Premier. Do not assume that subscribing later changes the rights for earlier songs; check Suno’s current terms for your use and jurisdiction.

For a web-based benchmark with editing
Eleven Music provides a relevant comparison point if you are considering ElevenLabs for music. Its documentation describes full tracks from natural-language prompts, controls for musical elements, post-generation section and lyric editing, and MP3 export. This is a website workflow; the dossier does not establish a dedicated Android app for Eleven Music.
Galaxy Compatibility and Rights Checks
- Distinguish Android access from Galaxy AI. Gemini’s documented Android workflow is separate from Samsung’s Galaxy AI features. Samsung says Galaxy AI needs One UI 6.1 or later on supported devices, and availability varies by model and software; that does not mean third-party music generators are Galaxy AI features.
- Confirm access and account eligibility. Check the current app, local availability, age requirements, account type, and any activity settings before planning a project.
- Check the actual export. Gemini documents MP3 audio and MP4 cover-art video downloads. Test that the file works in the editor or publishing workflow you intend to use.
- Review rights for the plan active when you create the track. Commercial-use permission, copyright ownership, attribution, and plan eligibility are distinct issues. Read the current service terms for your intended use.
- Do not treat quality as settled. The reviewed sources are product and help documentation, not controlled listening tests. They do not establish an objective sound-quality winner.
