Write A Prompt That Produces An Editable Song

For an instrumental, remove the lyric subject and specify the role of each part: “Instrumental track for a night bus ride, repeating piano motif, gradual percussion build, spacious middle section, and a calm ending.” Udio states that it can generate vocal or instrumental songs from text prompts and lyrics, so you can choose either route at the start.

- Tap the create or generation control in Udio.
- Enter the song brief in the prompt field.
- If you already wrote lyrics, paste only the section you want Udio to use and label parts such as verse, pre-chorus and chorus in plain text.
- Choose vocal or instrumental direction when the interface presents that option.
- Review the credit cost and start the generation.
Save the prompt that produced the most promising idea in Samsung Notes. Keeping the wording lets you make a controlled revision instead of spending credits on a completely different brief.
Edit Lyrics And Shape The Vocal

Extend Or Transform A Track In Sessions

For example, extend a short idea with “add an eight-bar instrumental lift, then return to the final chorus.” For a transformation, describe the change you want while keeping the song’s identity: “retain the vocal idea, make the middle section more spacious, and reduce the drum intensity.” Udio lists both extend and transform controls, followed by refinement in Sessions.

- Open the version you want to continue or alter.
- Choose the extend or transform action shown for that track.
- Describe the exact section change, such as a longer intro, a bridge or a quieter ending.
- Send the result to Sessions when that option appears.
- Refine the timeline section by section, saving a preferred version before trying another change.
Do not assume that a transformation preserves every lyric, melody or instrument. The listed features establish the controls, not a guaranteed musical outcome; audition each result before treating it as final.

Udio currently says audio, video and stem downloads are disabled during its transition period. Stem separation is available as a capability, but stem export is currently disabled. On a Galaxy phone, use the in-service player and Sessions view to compare versions, and keep your source lyrics and prompts in Samsung Notes. Check Udio’s status and terms before planning a video edit, DAW session or offline copy.
