Overview

Customers can sign from a tablet, computer, or mobile device, either ahead of time or at an on-site kiosk. The booking system handles admission prices by person type, scheduled or all-day availability, capacity limits, group packages, and deposits. Together, these functions suit businesses whose transactions involve planned activities and multiple participants better than operators looking only to collect signatures.

Staff can track waiver completion per participant for groups, parties, and events, with booking and participant details available together. At arrival, they can scan confirmation codes using WaiverScan or verify waiver status and mark customers present in the dashboard. That joined workflow can reduce the need to reconcile bookings and signers separately, though it also means the booking fee and waiver plan limits should be evaluated against expected volume.

Key features

Booking and group management: Person-type pricing, availability schedules, capacity limits, group packages, and deposits cover several common activity-booking needs. Per-participant waiver tracking helps staff identify incomplete signings within a group rather than relying on one booking-level status.
Check-in options: Confirmation-code scanning through WaiverScan and dashboard check-off provide two ways to manage arrivals while verifying waiver status.
Branded customer pages: WaiverFile can provide a business website with a custom domain or connect booking and waiver pages to an existing site with styling that matches the business. This is useful for operators who want those customer-facing workflows to fit their brand.
Integrations and security: The maker lists Zapier, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, PicThrive, GetResponse, and US Lacrosse integrations. Its stated security controls include encryption in transit and at rest, cell-level encryption, data masking, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, monitoring, and alerting; its security page says the service is HIPAA-compliant and GDPR compliant.
Operational tools: Kiosk mode, offline signing, guardian signing, API access, automated reminders, and data export are supported. These options matter to businesses with on-site signing or workflows involving guardians, external systems, or follow-up.

Pricing

WaiverFile has no general free plan, but its Booking plan has no monthly fee. It adds a 6% booking fee, rounded up to the nearest whole dollar, at checkout; Stripe processing fees apply separately. Waivers for booking participants are included, making this a way to start booking without a subscription, but the percentage fee can become a significant consideration as booking volume grows.

Standalone waiver plans start at $19 / Monthly and include a 30-day or 100-waiver free trial with no credit card required. The paid plans have no contract and unlimited waiver storage, but each has a monthly limit on new waivers; after that limit, customers can continue signing and pay $0.50 per additional waiver.

Plan	Price	Included monthly waivers and notable terms
Startup	$19 / Monthly	150 new waivers; unlimited storage
Startup with HIPAA	$29 / Monthly	150 new waivers; enhanced security features for HIPAA; unlimited storage
Business	$49 / Monthly	400 new waivers; unlimited storage
Business with HIPAA	$79 / Monthly	400 new waivers; enhanced security features for HIPAA; unlimited storage
Growth	$89 / Monthly	700 new waivers; unlimited storage
Growth with HIPAA	$129 / Monthly	700 new waivers; enhanced security features for HIPAA; unlimited storage
Premium	$149 / Monthly	1,300 new waivers; unlimited storage
Elite	$249 / Monthly	4,000 new waivers; unlimited storage
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Custom volume; SSO and full data isolation

Startup is the lowest-cost standalone option for modest waiver volume; Business and Growth raise the monthly allowance for busier operators, while Premium and Elite are aimed at substantially higher counts. The HIPAA variants cost more than their matching non-HIPAA tiers and add enhanced security features for HIPAA. Enterprise is the relevant tier for custom volume or buyers requiring SSO and full data isolation. The no-contract terms apply to the listed monthly paid plans, but the monthly cap and overage charge remain important when estimating total cost.

Platforms

WaiverFile supports Android, iOS, and the web. Its signing options span mobile devices, computers, and tablets, including an on-site kiosk workflow.

Who it's for

WaiverFile is a strong fit for attractions, fitness classes, tours, workshops, parties, and facility rentals that need to connect booking with participant waivers and check-in. Businesses with group events can benefit from per-person waiver tracking, while operators with low waiver volume and no booking needs may find the broader platform and paid monthly quotas unnecessary. Businesses whose bookings are cost-sensitive should compare the free plan’s 6% checkout fee with a monthly subscription.

Pros and cons

Pro: Booking, participant-level waiver tracking, and check-in are brought together, which is valuable for group-based activities and events.
Pro: The booking plan has no monthly fee and includes waivers for booking participants, offering a subscription-free way to use booking tools.
Pro: Paid plans include unlimited waiver storage, with higher-volume tiers and custom Enterprise volume available.
Con: The free booking plan charges a 6% fee at checkout, rounded up to the nearest whole dollar, in addition to Stripe processing fees.
Con: Paid plans limit new waivers each month, and extra waivers cost $0.50 each after the included allowance.
Con: The standalone waiver trial is limited to 30 days or 100 waivers, so it is not an ongoing free option.

Verdict

Choose WaiverFile if your activity business needs booking, group-level waiver oversight, and arrival check-in connected in one workflow. Its strongest case is the combination of booking controls and participant tracking, while its main trade-offs are the free plan’s booking fee and recurring waiver caps on paid plans. If you only need waiver collection or want a continuing free plan, compare the alternatives before committing.
