Overview

The maker offers 50 logo concepts, which users can refine by changing colors, fonts, icons, and layout. Logos can be used commercially across websites, social profiles, and documents, with PNG, SVG, and JPG formats plus vector and transparent export options. Those formats give a logo room to work across different backgrounds and uses, rather than limiting it to a single fixed image.

Wixel extends logo creation with an AI tagline generator and brand themes that can be applied to other Wixel designs. Projects sync across its iOS and Android apps and the web platform. Downloaded logos can also be uploaded to Wix and saved in Media Manager for use on a Wix site. That connection is useful for Wix customers, but Wixel requires a Wix account. Wix's older Logo Maker remains available, though it has limited AI support and fewer assets than Wixel.

Key features

From logo to brand theme

Customizable concepts make the initial output a starting point: users can tune the visual elements and then generate a theme for other Wixel designs. That is more useful for someone creating a consistent set of business materials than for someone who only needs a one-off logo. The AI tagline generator adds another branding option, although AI actions draw on monthly credits.

Exports and project access

Wixel says high-resolution PNG and SVG logo downloads are free. The legacy maker has a different export distinction: Basic includes PNG, while SVG is included with Advanced and certain higher plans. Users should confirm which maker and plan they are using before choosing based on vector export. Cross-device project syncing is a practical advantage for people moving between web and mobile, while Wix Media Manager integration keeps the files close to a Wix website workflow.

Pricing

Wixel's free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 120 AI credits per month, capped at 30 per day, with up to 20 logos estimated. Since AI actions consume credits, the daily cap can matter even when the monthly balance remains. The estimates also cover other project types on paid plans, so they are not a promise of a fixed logo count.

Plan	Price and allowance	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free; 120 AI credits per month, max 30 per day; up to 20 logos (estimate)	Trying Wixel or making a small number of designs within a tight credit allowance
Basic	90.00 USD per year, billed per year; 350 AI credits per month; up to 50 logos, 40 images, 10 videos, 40 docs, and 3 presentations (estimates)	Regular use across several Wixel project types without the Wix Light plan bundle
Pro	290.00 USD per year, billed per year; 850 AI credits per month; up to 180 logos, 140 images, 35 videos, 130 docs, and 7 presentations (estimates); Wix Light plan and free domain for 1 year	Higher-volume multi-format creation, especially for users who also want the Wix bundle
Max	590.00 USD per year, billed per year; 2,000 AI credits per month; up to 440 logos, 330 images, 80 videos, 280 docs, and 15 presentations (estimates); Wix Light plan and free domain for 1 year	The largest stated monthly credit allowance and estimated project quotas

Basic is the lowest paid tier, but it lacks the Wix Light plan and one-year free domain included with Pro and Max. Those higher prices make most sense when the extra credit capacity and cross-format quotas will be used, not for a logo alone. The paid plans are billed annually; the free tier's credit caps are the main constraint for occasional users.

Platforms

Wixel is available on web, iOS, and Android, with projects kept in sync across devices. The mobile apps suit users who want access to ongoing work away from a desktop, while web access remains available. A Wix account is required to use Wixel.

Who it's for

Wix Logo Maker is a strong fit for small businesses and solo operators who want to customize a logo, download usable file formats, and extend the brand into other Wixel designs. It also fits Wix site owners who want to place logo files in Media Manager. It is less compelling for someone who needs only a one-time logo and does not expect to use Wixel's other project types or Wix connection.

Pros and cons

Pros: Editable AI and template concepts let users tailor colors, fonts, icons, and layout instead of relying on a fixed mark.
Pros: Wixel offers high-resolution PNG and SVG downloads for free, along with vector and transparent export options.
Pros: Brand themes, mobile project syncing, and Wix Media Manager support help connect logo work to a broader design or Wix-site workflow.
Cons: Wixel requires a Wix account, which makes it a less natural choice for people who want an independent logo tool.
Cons: The free plan's 120 monthly AI credits and 30-credit daily cap can constrain repeated AI actions.
Cons: Legacy Logo Maker Basic includes PNG but not the SVG export included with Advanced and certain higher plans, so export expectations depend on the product and plan.

Alternatives

LOGO.com is a relevant alternative for web users who want a free plan with one logo, PNG-only downloads, and 100 MB of media storage. For a broader category comparison, see AI Logo Makers or Logo Design Software.

For a free web-based option with a stated vector workflow, SmartSVG includes 30 credits per week, AI generation and SVG conversion, and a commercial license on its free plan. CleanVector may suit users focused on vector conversion and exports: its free plan includes 10 credits a month, one permanent SVG download, unlimited PNG exports, and a color editor. GoToVector offers a no-signup free option with a watermarked SVG sheet, multiple designs per sheet, and five regenerations; consider it when a limited preview is enough. Modulify AI Logo Maker offers one free logo generation per day with a watermarked preview, so it is another option for limited free exploration.

AnnoMotion is a freemium web and API service with a free trial and a free-credit allowance. SVGtoCode is a freemium web tool with a free account. DaVinci AI Photo Restoration is a freemium option across web, iOS, and Android; its Max plan is 39.99 USD per month, billed annually, with 5,000 credits per month, up to 1,000 images and 250 videos per month, and priority generation speed and queue access.

Verdict

Choose Wix Logo Maker if you want editable logo concepts, free Wixel PNG and SVG downloads, and a path from logo to broader brand materials across web and mobile. Its clearest advantage is that connected design workflow; its clearest drawback is the Wix account requirement and credit-based AI use. For a logo-only project, compare alternatives before paying annually for Wixel's wider creation quotas.
