Overview

Bluedot is meeting-capture software for people who need a searchable record of calls and in-person conversations. It suits teams that want summaries and follow-up details without adding a recording bot to the call. Its strongest case is the combination of capture options and cross-meeting search; the lifetime cap on the free plan and the Basic recording limit are important constraints.

Bluedot says it captures meetings without a bot joining, then creates transcripts, summaries, action items, and speaker identification. It supports more than 100 languages. The built-in AI chat can answer questions across multiple meetings, and users can share conversations by link, comment on key moments, and clip highlights.

Capture contexts include Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack huddles, phone calls, and in-person meetings. Capture apps span a Chrome extension, Mac and Windows desktop apps, and iOS and Android apps. Exports include PDF, TXT, plain text, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Google Drive.

Key features

Bot-free capture: Recording without a bot participant is useful for teams that do not want a meeting bot joining calls.
Search and AI chat: Searchable transcripts and summaries make past conversations easier to revisit, while cross-meeting chat can surface information across several recordings rather than just one.
Review and sharing: Links, comments, and clips support sharing a conversation or drawing attention to specific moments.
Integrations: Bluedot lists Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Meet, HubSpot, Make, MCP, Microsoft Teams, Notion, Outlook, Salesforce, Slack, webhooks, Zapier, and Zoom. The breadth should suit varied team workflows, though the plan determines access to some capabilities.
Security controls: Bluedot states that it has SOC 2 Type II audited controls and GDPR-compliant controls and data-processing practices. It says customer data is not used to train AI models and is encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256 and TLS. DPAs, standard contractual clauses, SSO, SAML, SCIM, and configurable retention support organizations with additional governance needs.

Pricing

Bluedot is freemium, with a 3-day trial and paid plans starting at $14/user/mo (annual). The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes five meetings for the lifetime of the account, plus the Chrome extension, desktop and mobile apps, and Slack, Notion, Zapier, and Make. After the five meetings, members can continue viewing and sharing recordings, but need an upgrade for unlimited recording and transcription. That makes Free useful for a small evaluation, not a continuing recording allowance.

Basic: 14.00 USD per month billed annually, or 18.00 USD per month on monthly billing. It provides unlimited audio-only meetings and storage, webhooks, and MCP integration, but each recording is limited to one hour. It fits users who do not need video capture or longer sessions.
Pro: 20.00 USD per month billed annually, or 25.00 USD per month monthly. It adds unlimited meetings with video, unlimited recording duration, custom note templates, and Zoom and Google Drive imports. This is the better fit for teams whose recording needs exceed Basic's audio-only and one-hour boundaries.
Business: 32.00 USD per month billed annually, or 39.00 USD per month monthly. It adds CRM and ATS integrations, advanced admin controls, SSO and SCIM, custom data retention, organization-wide MCP and webhooks, and unlimited audio/video imports. Those controls make it the relevant tier for organizations with integration and administration requirements.
Flat rate: Custom pricing for one fixed company price regardless of how many people use Bluedot; request pricing. This may suit organizations preferring a company-wide fee to per-user billing.

Prices are per user per month where billing is stated that way. Canceled subscribers have one month to restore a subscription before recordings are permanently deleted, so cancellation is not a safe way to retain an archive indefinitely.

Platforms

Bluedot supports Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web, and a browser extension. The Mac app requires macOS 12.3 or later on Apple Silicon; the Windows app supports Windows 10 and later.

Who it's for

Bluedot is a good fit for individuals and teams who need searchable meeting records across different settings, particularly when bot-free capture and cross-meeting questions matter. Basic suits audio-only users with sessions no longer than an hour; Pro is more appropriate for video or longer recordings. Teams that need CRM connections, advanced administration, or custom retention should consider Business. It is a weaker choice for someone seeking a free ongoing transcription allowance, since the five-meeting quota is lifetime rather than monthly.

Pros and cons

Pro: Bot-free capture spans calls, phone conversations, and in-person meetings, with searchable transcripts, summaries, and cross-meeting AI chat for later retrieval.
Pro: More than 100 languages, several export formats, and a broad integration list support varied meeting and document workflows.
Pro: Business includes SSO, SCIM, admin controls, and configurable retention for organizations that need governance features.
Con: Free covers only five meetings over the account's lifetime, limiting its usefulness as a lasting no-cost option.
Con: Basic is audio-only and caps each recording at one hour, so video or longer sessions require Pro.
Con: Canceling puts recordings on a one-month restoration clock before permanent deletion, which matters to anyone treating the service as an archive.

Verdict

Choose Bluedot if you want bot-free capture, searchable records, and AI answers across meetings in a tool that spans online and in-person conversations. Pro is the practical choice for video or longer recordings, while Business adds the controls larger organizations may need. Look elsewhere if five lifetime free meetings are not enough, Basic's audio-only one-hour limit is too restrictive, or you need recordings to remain available after a canceled subscription.
