Meet2Notes
What it is
Meet2Notes is a free, open-source meeting recorder and conversation analysis tool for Windows, macOS, Linux, and the web. It captures microphone or system audio, records conversations, and transcribes them in real time. Structured notes include decisions and action items, while a rule-driven Live AI Assistant watches provisional transcript segments. Users can search meeting history by asking questions and receive answers with timestamped sources. The software separates speakers, stores voice profiles, and recognizes speakers across earlier meetings. Common media files can be imported for local processing. Transcription, diarization, summarization, and embedding engines are selected independently. Plugins, pipeline hooks, signed webhooks, and a local MCP server support connections to Claude Desktop, ChatGPT Desktop, Codex, and compatible clients. Audio, transcripts, embeddings, and local models remain in the workspace by default, with telemetry off by default.
