Overview

Forecast boards connect Gong and CRM data in real time, using CRM fields for actuals, open deals, and forecast categories. Reps, sales managers, and managers of managers can submit individual or team numbers, giving the forecast a defined, shared workflow rather than leaving it solely to a manager’s estimate. That structure is useful for organizations coordinating forecasts across roles, but the Salesforce-and-HubSpot-only CRM requirement rules it out for teams on other systems.

Key features

The forecasting suite includes submissions, Forecast Analytics, AI Deal Predictor, and AI Revenue Predictor. Gong says it draws on more than 300 signals and predicts deal outcomes with 20% more precision than algorithms based on CRM data. Those additional signals are a reason to consider the product over a CRM-only forecast process, though the precision figure is Gong’s claim rather than a guarantee for every sales organization.

Forecast Essentials lists unlimited Deal Boards and Account Boards, AI Deal Reviewer, Win/Loss Insights, and Deal Drivers. Account Boards give revenue teams a consolidated way to assess account health, spot risk, protect renewals, and find expansion opportunities. That makes the product relevant to account management as well as forecast rollups, especially for teams tracking renewals and growth across existing customers.

Submission reminders appear in Gong and, when a company has a Slack integration, in Slack. This can help keep forecast submissions visible in an existing team workflow, but Slack reminders depend on that integration. Gong also offers call recording, transcription, and conversation intelligence, alongside deal risk alerts, pipeline trend analysis, recommended actions, customizable forecasts, and historical data import.

Gong says it does not use customer data to train generative models and lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 among its certifications and attestations. These are relevant considerations for organizations evaluating data handling and security posture; they do not change the product’s CRM requirement.

Pricing

Gong Forecast is paid, with custom pricing through a customized proposal. The plan uses per-user licenses and a platform fee based on the number of users supported, so organizations should account for both seat count and the platform component when evaluating fit. There is no free plan, and a proposal is needed to judge the total cost for a particular team.

Platforms

Gong Forecast is available on Android, iOS, and the web. Its CRM integrations are limited to Salesforce and HubSpot, which is the more consequential platform constraint for teams choosing a forecasting system.

Who it's for

Gong Forecast is best suited to sales organizations on Salesforce or HubSpot that want reps and managers to submit forecasts in a shared process and use deal and account signals to assess risk. Teams that need a wider CRM choice or a public price should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Configurable boards connect Gong and CRM data in real time, supporting submissions from reps through managers of managers.
Pros: Forecast Essentials combines unlimited Deal and Account Boards with deal review, win/loss insights, and deal drivers.
Pros: Call recording, transcription, conversation intelligence, AI predictions, and account views support a broader sales workflow than forecast submission alone.
Cons: CRM support covers only Salesforce and HubSpot, excluding teams built around other CRM platforms.
Cons: Custom pricing includes both per-user licenses and a user-based platform fee, and there is no free plan for evaluating the product without a paid commitment.

Verdict

Choose Gong Forecast if your sales organization uses Salesforce or HubSpot and wants a shared submission process reinforced by AI deal and revenue predictions and account views. Its main appeal is bringing those forecasts and signals into one sales workflow; its limited CRM support and custom, seat-based pricing make it a poor fit for teams that need broader integrations or clear upfront costs.
