Pug
What it is
Pug is a product analytics tool that turns event data into views of user behavior. Its six insight types are trends, funnels, retention, segmentation, user flow, and Top K, with person profiles that connect activity over time. After one initialization, the Web SDK can capture page views, clicks, scrolls, form submissions, and rage or dead clicks. The identify function merges anonymous activity into a unified profile, and events are tied to a person after consent. The Web SDK defaults to cookieless operation and does not write to the device. Pug can run as managed cloud hosting or on an operator’s infrastructure using a single Go binary backed by PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and NATS. Web, Node, and Flutter SDKs are available; native Android and iOS SDKs are listed as coming soon. Pug is open source under AGPL-3.0. Cloud access is free during open beta with no limits.
