OPENPASS
What it is
OPENPASS is a free, open-source event platform for organizers and communities. It supports a list-only publishing mode or a fuller workflow covering discovery, registration, ticketing, check-in, and feedback. Location-based calendars, an interactive map, and local trending topics help people find events. Organizers can build event-specific forms with drag-and-drop controls and text, select, or checkbox fields. QR-code tickets arrive by email, while an offline-capable scanner is designed to prevent duplicate scans. A live dashboard tracks registrations, check-ins, and capacity use, and attendee data can be exported as CSV. Bulk email and SMS notifications are included. Paid tickets are optional through Hyperswitch; free events need no payment configuration. The platform offers web, API, and self-hosted use. Its quickstart uses Docker Compose, PostgreSQL, and separate frontend and API services. Protected API routes use session-cookie authentication. The AGPL-3.0 license requires publishing source changes for modified public services.
