Gimmal Records
Houston, Texas, United States
What it is
Gimmal Records manages records across enterprise repositories without requiring organizations to move content elsewhere. A centralized dashboard provides visibility into information held in connected repositories, while file plans, retention schedules, record classes, rules, and triggers support classification and lifecycle management through disposition. Legal holds can pause a record’s lifecycle and prevent its modification or disposition while held. Users can review time-stamped audit entries and filter or export audit reports. Disposition can use continuous inbox approvals or optional batch processing based on predefined rules. Documented connectors include Box, SharePoint Server, Documentum, FileNet, SharePoint Online, and Universal File Share; some SharePoint connectors are marked deprecated. The service is available as a Gimmal-hosted cloud tenant or on customer servers and cloud servers. On-premises installations require Windows Server 2016 or later and SQL Server 2016 or later, as well as HTTPS and TLS 1.2. Pricing is available on request.
