Club Bar
What it is
Club Bar is an open-source point-of-sale system for sports clubs, community centers, and member organizations that operate a bar or canteen. Members can identify themselves at the terminal with an RFID or NFC card and view their personal tab. The terminal caches data locally, allowing checkout without an internet connection, then syncs when connected. Administrators can manage members and products, settle accounts, view reports, and consult a transaction journal and audit history.
At checkout, the system checks product minimum ages and can refuse an offline sale using the member’s birth date. Settlement tools export XML or CSV, and the backend can generate SEPA direct debit pain.008.1.08 XML. Club Bar also supports SMTP email, REST APIs, and RFID/NFC readers; an ESP8266 token dispenser is optional and can be controlled over local WiFi. The project is licensed under Apache-2.0 and offers a free self-hosted plan with no subscription. Documented hosting requires PHP 8.3 or later, MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.5+, and Apache mod_rewrite. Its Flutter desktop terminal targets embedded Linux, with installation instructions covering Raspberry Pi OS on Raspberry Pi 4 or 5.
