What it is
Chargebee RevRec is a web and API product that automates revenue recognition and month-end close for recurring, variable, credit-based and hybrid pricing models. Its workflow follows the five-step approaches in ASC 606 and IFRS 15. A revenue subledger stores contract, transaction and line-item detail, then can post summarized journal entries to a general ledger. Reports include deferred-revenue waterfalls, live dashboards and custom views with drill-down to contract, transaction or line-item records. Named direct connections are Chargebee, Stripe, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks and Xero, with invoice and billing data synchronized on a 24-hour cycle. REST APIs and webhooks support custom integrations and workflow automation. The Performance plan lists point-in-time and ratable recognition, GAAP reports and journal-entry mapping. Enterprise adds multi-entity support, advanced revenue rules, SSP configurations, multi-source integration and direct journal posting; contract modifications and usage-based recognition are listed there. Plans are available only to Chargebee Billing customers, and pricing is on request. Compliance certificates listed include SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2, PCI Level 1 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
