AI-generated singing is not automatically copyright-safe just because a song is original. For a Samsung Galaxy creator, the practical line is to use your own voice or a voice model whose use is authorized, follow the music service’s plan terms, and disclose realistic synthetic performances where a publishing platform requires it. In the United States, entirely AI-generated material generally is not copyrightable; human-authored contributions may be protected.
What Copyright Covers In An AI Vocal Track
The U.S. Copyright Office says prompts alone do not make someone the author of AI-generated material. If a track combines generated and human-created work, only the human-authored parts may be protected. For registration, applicants must disclose more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material and describe the human author’s contribution. See the U.S. Copyright Office’s AI report.

For a vocal song, keep records of what you wrote, performed, arranged, edited, or otherwise contributed yourself. A prompt such as “sing this lyric in a soulful voice” does not by itself establish authorship of the resulting vocal or song.
Use A Voice You Have Permission To Use
Choose your own recorded voice, a voice offered by a service for your use, or a voice model whose artist has authorized that use. Do not treat a sound-alike prompt or a voice clone as permission to imitate a recognizable singer. Spotify has said vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it; check the destination service’s current rules before uploading.

A cautious prompt describes musical qualities rather than a real person: “Sing these original lyrics in a warm, restrained alto with clear diction over a sparse piano arrangement.” Avoid a named artist, a distinctive signature phrase, or wording that asks the system to make listeners think a real person performed the track.
Voice Workflows With Relevant Terms Stated
| Service | Voice-related workflow supported by the supplied information | Rights information stated |
|---|---|---|
| Suno | Record a few seconds of your own voice and have it sing text you write; Suno is available on Android. | Suno says songs created as a paid subscriber are yours to use, including publishing an album. The Free Plan does not include commercial rights. |
| Eleven Music | Generate songs with a consistent voice using a vocal from your tracks or its curated Vocal Library. | Commercial rights vary by subscription tier; its page says tracks are cleared for broad commercial use and directs users to its terms. The Free plan is personal use. |
| Tunee | Clone a vocal style and apply it to a generated track. | Paid subscribers are offered full commercial rights; free music is for personal projects with attribution. Tunee says copyright law is evolving and it cannot guarantee copyright protection. |
| Kits AI | Create custom voices; Kits says its voice models are ethically licensed and sourced via artists, with revenue sharing for artists in its model library. | Kits describes its creations as “100% Royalty Free.” Check its current terms for the specific model and use. |
| Songin.ai | Upload an instrumental and generate matching vocals, with controls for lyrics, vocal gender, style, and intensity. | Songin.ai says paid-plan music can be used commercially; its free offering is personal use only and has no commercial rights. |
These details do not establish support for a particular genre, language, or Galaxy-specific recording workflow. Check each vendor’s site for the exact voice controls, supported inputs, current platform availability, and terms that apply to your intended release. A product’s commercial-use statement is not proof that a particular voice was authorized for every use.

A Practical Galaxy Workflow Before Publishing
- Write original lyrics and note which parts you will perform or edit yourself.
- Choose your own voice or a model with clear authorization. If you use another person’s recording or identity, obtain their consent for the specific use.
- Use a prompt that specifies delivery, range, mood, and arrangement instead of naming or imitating a real singer. For example: “Use a light tenor, close and conversational, with a gentle rise on the chorus; keep the melody original.”
- Save the source lyrics, recordings, edits, model or voice selection, and the applicable service plan and terms when you create the track.
- Before release, check the AI music service’s terms and the distributor or platform’s rules for commercial use, voice impersonation, and synthetic-content disclosure.
Disclosure And Platform Limits
YouTube requires creators to disclose realistic altered or synthetic content that could be mistaken for a real person’s performance using its altered-or-synthetic-content label. YouTube’s inauthentic-content monetization policy targets mass-produced, repetitive, or template-based uploads; AI use alone is not the stated target. Spotify says it supports DDEX AI disclosures in credits and has an AI Persona badge for identities that may be AI-generated. Check current platform instructions at upload time, since platform rules and service terms can change.
Consent and service terms still matter even if a track is labeled AI-generated. For a voice model, read the model-specific and subscription terms and confirm that the person whose voice is represented authorized the intended use. These steps explain the stated platform and copyright limits; they do not guarantee copyright protection or legal clearance.
