AI voice collaboration is only ready to share when the person whose voice is used has agreed to the specific recording, model, uses, and release plan. For Galaxy creators, get that agreement before uploading a collaborator’s vocal to a voice tool, and keep the permission attached to the project. A tool’s licensing or royalty-free claim does not establish that you have consent to use a particular person’s voice.
What Permission Should Cover
Ask for permission that matches the actual workflow. A singer may agree to a one-time voice conversion but not to training a reusable model, sharing that model, or releasing the result commercially. Write down the agreed scope in plain language and ask again if the project changes.

- Which audio may be used: a named take, session files, or later recordings.
- Whether the audio may be used to make a voice model, and whether that model may be saved, reused, shared, or licensed.
- Which outputs are allowed: a private demo, a collaboration draft, or a released track.
- Whether the output may be used commercially, and how the singer will be credited or compensated if agreed.
- Who may access the audio, model, and exports, and what should happen to them if the collaborator withdraws permission.
This is practical project guidance, not a legal determination. Check the platform’s current terms and get qualified advice if the release or licensing stakes require it.
A Consent-First Galaxy Workflow
- Agree before upload. Tell the singer which tool you plan to use, what files you will upload, whether you intend to create a model, and how you may use the result. Do not treat sending a vocal for mixing as consent to model or transform it.
- Save the scope. Keep a written reply or project note naming the permitted use. Make the note specific enough to distinguish a private sketch from a public release or reusable model.
- Use a neutral project brief. For example: “Please approve using your lead vocal from the chorus demo to make a converted guide vocal for this private arrangement. No reusable model, sharing, or release is included. We’ll ask again before expanding the use.” Adapt it to the actual project; do not imply a person agreed unless they did.
- Label versions clearly. Note whether an export is the original performance, a converted vocal, or a synthesized demo. Keep the collaborator’s approved scope with the corresponding files so a draft is not mistaken for an approved release.
- Check before release or sharing. Confirm that the intended distribution, model use, credits, and compensation match the collaborator’s agreement and the platform’s terms. If anything has changed, get fresh permission.
