Using an AI music generator does not automatically give you a U.S. copyright in the song. The U.S. Copyright Office says music generated entirely by AI is not copyrightable, and a text prompt alone does not make you its author. If you contribute original lyrics, melody, or other human-authored material, that contribution may be protected; for a mixed work, protection covers only the human-authored parts.
