Yes, you can make an AI artist-voice cover on a Galaxy phone, but generating the audio does not give you permission to publish it. Two separate permissions usually matter: a licence for the song’s underlying composition and consent to imitate a recognisable singer’s voice. A tool’s paid plan may cover its own output rights while leaving those outside permissions unresolved.
Why An AI Voice Cover Has Two Rights Questions
The Song Itself
If you revoice a song you did not write, the melody, lyrics and composition remain someone else’s copyrighted work. TwoShot states that a cover generally needs a licence before publication or monetisation, and that YouTube may identify covers through Content ID and route revenue to rights holders. Treat an AI revoicing as a cover for this purpose, even when the instrumental track is newly generated or separated from an upload. Read the licence rules for the service where you plan to release it before posting.

The Singer’s Identity
Cloning a specific recording artist’s actual voice creates a separate likeness and publicity-rights issue. TwoShot advises using a described vocal style instead of naming a celebrity unless you have permission. A prompt such as “breathy, low-register pop vocal with close-mic phrasing” describes musical characteristics; “sing this as [living artist]” asks for a recognisable person’s identity and can create a consent problem.
Your Source Audio
Only upload voice recordings you own or are authorised to use. That requirement applies to a bandmate, client, guest singer or family member as well as to your own recordings: obtain their permission before creating a model or cover.

- Do you have the composition licence required for this song and destination?
- Is every voice recording used for cloning owned by you or authorised by its singer?

Spotify also said vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorised it, alongside measures against mass-uploaded spam and duplicates. That policy is a useful warning for distribution: a technically convincing cover can still be removed when identity consent is missing. These tools can preserve musical timing or replace a lead vocal, but neither description establishes that a generated performance is cleared for every country, service or use. Copyright licensing, publicity rights and platform rules remain separate questions. Keep the project private until you can answer those questions for the exact song, voice and destination you selected.
