Overview

Striven brings accounting together with CRM and sales, project management, inventory, human resources, reporting and analytics, and workflows. Finance, inventory, order management, manufacturing tools, and multi-entity support extend its operational scope. This breadth can make it a practical choice for businesses coordinating financial and day-to-day work across functions, rather than maintaining separate systems for each. It is less compelling when a team needs only one narrow capability.

Key features

Collaboration and connections

File sharing, instant messaging, task and project management, and shared calendars support coordination among teams using the business platform. Integration guides cover Authorize.net, Google Calendar, Microsoft Calendar, Onfleet, ShipStation, Shopify, Square, Stripe, Gmail, and Twilio. Striven’s API supports custom integrations, real-time data syncing, secure data transfer, and developer documentation, which gives businesses a way to connect their own systems.

Security and support

Striven says Miles IT engages an annual SOC 2 Type II audit covering controls relevant to confidentiality, security, and accessibility of hosted systems. Its data protection measures include encryption, granular access control, automated backup and recovery, and audit trails and monitoring. Free support includes online chat, ticket submission, and answers to how-to questions.

Pricing

Striven is paid software with a 90-day free trial that includes premium features and requires no credit card. Standard costs 35.00 USD per month, billed monthly; Enterprise costs 70.00 USD per month, billed monthly. Both add $25 per user when a business has under five users, a surcharge that can weigh heavily on a small team. The plan descriptions do not distinguish the two subscriptions’ included features, so the price difference alone does not establish which is the better fit.

Portal Free costs 0.00 USD per free and caps usage at 100 customers, 100 vendors, and 100 applications per month. Customer, Vendor, and Career Portal is also free at 0.00 USD per free, with the same stated caps. Portal allows up to 500 customers, vendors, and applications per month, with custom pricing. The free portals suit businesses whose portal activity stays within those quotas; teams expecting greater volume should consider the paid Portal option.

Platforms

Striven is cloud-deployed and supports web, Android, iOS, and API access. Its collaboration tools are accessible through native iOS and Android apps, making mobile access relevant for teams coordinating work away from desktop browsers.

Who it's for

Small to midsize businesses that want accounting alongside operations, collaboration, and reporting are the clearest fit. The combination of finance, inventory, orders, manufacturing, and multi-entity support is relevant to businesses managing varied workflows. A very small business should weigh the under-five-user surcharge, and a team needing only project tracking or service management should compare narrower tools before paying for a broader platform.

Pros and cons

Pro: Accounting, CRM, projects, inventory, HR, reporting, and workflows sit within one business platform, which can reduce the need to divide work across separate systems.
Pro: API support and a broad set of named integration guides give businesses options for connecting Striven with other services.
Pro: The 90-day trial includes premium features and needs no credit card, giving prospective customers time to evaluate the platform before subscribing.
Con: Standard and Enterprise both add $25 per user for teams under five, making the monthly starting prices less attractive for the smallest businesses.
Con: The free portal options stop at 100 customers, vendors, and monthly applications, which may not suit growing portal use.

Alternatives

For project and issue tracking, Linear offers a free plan at 0.00 USD per free with unlimited members, two teams, and 250 issues; choose it when those limits and its focused scope suit better than a broad business-management system. YouTrack has a free cloud plan for up to 10 users with 30 GB of storage, making it an option for small teams that want a free issue-tracking tool. Planview AdaptiveWork is another cloud and mobile option, with pricing available by contacting an account executive.

For service-desk needs, Freshservice offers paid Starter and Growth plans and a free trial; ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus has a free plan and paid Standard and Professional tiers. airfocus, Zoho Sprints, and HCL DevOps Velocity are also alternatives to consider.

Readers comparing broader software categories can also browse ERP Software, IT Release Management Software, Fund Accounting Software, and Garage Door Software.

Verdict

Choose Striven if your small or midsize business wants accounting and multiple operational and collaboration functions together, and can absorb the monthly pricing and small-team surcharge. Its 90-day premium-feature trial and broad scope are strong reasons to evaluate it. Look elsewhere if you need a single focused tool, or if the extra per-user cost and portal quotas make the fit uneconomical.
