Overview

Redo is a post-purchase suite for ecommerce brands, with the strongest appeal for Shopify merchants seeking returns tools and free order editing. Its broad range can cover several after-checkout workflows, but eligibility and support terms deserve attention before a merchant commits.

Rather than concentrating on returns alone, Redo spans exchanges, warranties, order tracking and customer communication, alongside claims, fulfilment and checkout tools. That breadth can help merchants bring related tasks into one platform; stores needing only one narrow workflow may find a more focused product a better fit. Redo says it serves more than 4,500 brands.

Key features

Returns and exchanges: The returns offering pairs a free self-serve portal with real-time analytics, return-label cost coverage and return-specific AI agents. Exchange workflows, automated refunds, inspections and warehouse routing extend it beyond intake. Label coverage is a concrete benefit, though merchants should distinguish the free returns offer from other services that charge by use.
Order editing: Shopify shoppers can change variants, addresses, items and discount codes, or cancel orders. Redo charges no monthly fee or per-order fee for this tool and imposes no feature gates, making it an unusually direct option for merchants that want post-purchase changes without another usage charge.
Connected workflows: Redo names integrations including Shopify, BigCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, plus Gorgias, Klaviyo, Recharge, Tapcart, Vajro and major carriers such as FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and Australia Post. This range can connect commerce, support, marketing and shipping operations, though the service terms still require a Shopify-enabled store and valid Shopify account.
Security and support: Redo says it is SOC 2 compliant, undergoes annual independent audits and penetration tests, and encrypts data in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256. It says third-party integrations handle payment details and it stores no card data. Its merchant terms, however, impose no obligation to provide support, even if support may be offered under applicable policies; that caveat matters for merchants relying on help to resolve operational issues.

Pricing

Redo is freemium, with a free plan and paid offerings starting at $0.40. Several individual tools have no base charge but bill by use, so the headline free tier does not mean every workflow is cost-free at scale.

Free offers: Email & SMS is 0.00 USD per month, billed per send, and includes add-to-cart email capability, an AI email and SMS builder, monthly AI personas and real-time analytics. Claims, Shipping & Fulfilment, Warranties and Returns are each 0.00 USD per free. Their respective inclusions cover claim portals and fraud detection; order management and cash back on shipped orders; warranty registration and email capture; and a return portal, analytics, label-cost coverage and return-specific AI agents. These are compelling entry points for specific workflows, but merchants should account for the usage terms on other modules.
Usage-based tools: Contextual is 0.00 USD per month, billed per session, with visitor identity resolution, abandonment flows, server-side events and Meta CAPI enrichment. One click upsell is 0.06 USD per month, billed per order; Order tracking is 0.08 USD per month, billed per tracked order; and Checkout optimization is 0.40 USD per month, billed per order. Their features include recommendations and A/B testing, tracking triggers and dedicated pages, and audience segmentation and shipping-offer optimization, respectively. These rates may suit stores that want to pay in proportion to activity, but order or session volume will shape the bill.
Recover: 10.00 USD per month, billed as a percentage of recovered revenue. It includes a four-step recovery process and live human conversations, with payment tied to results. Merchants should weigh that revenue-linked charge against the benefit of paying only for results.

Redo also offers a free trial. Order Editing is free without monthly fees, per-order charges or feature gates. The service’s merchant eligibility requirement is Shopify-specific, so stores without a Shopify-enabled online store and valid Shopify account are not a fit.

Platforms

Redo is offered across API, iOS and web. It defines its platform as cloud-based software that may include downloadable apps, APIs and websites.

Who it's for

Redo suits Shopify-enabled ecommerce brands that want returns, order editing and adjacent post-purchase workflows in one suite, especially those drawn to a free portal or no-fee order changes. Its usage-priced options may also appeal to stores that prefer charges tied to sends, sessions, orders or tracked shipments. Merchants that require assured technical support, or cannot meet the Shopify account requirement, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Returns combines a free portal with label-cost coverage, analytics and return-specific AI agents, rather than stopping at return intake.
Pro: Shopify order editing is free of monthly and per-order fees and feature gates, reducing friction for shoppers making post-purchase changes.
Pro: The suite spans multiple customer and operations workflows, with integrations across commerce platforms, service and marketing tools, and carriers.
Con: Merchants must operate a Shopify-enabled store and hold a valid Shopify account, limiting eligibility even though Redo names other commerce integrations.
Con: Several modules bill per send, session, order, tracked order or recovered revenue, so total cost depends on activity rather than a single flat suite price.
Con: Redo’s terms do not require it to provide technical or other support, a meaningful concern for merchants who need dependable assistance.

Alternatives

At Last is worth considering for merchants seeking a returns-focused option with Android alongside API, iOS and web access. Its free ‘Return to Zero’ plan includes all features, but limits returns to customer-paid shipping and requires at least 250 shipments per month.

ReturnPro may fit sellers who want separate Shopify or Walmart connections and a defined free returns allowance: its Shopify Seller plan includes up to 1,000 returns per month and five users, with an additional-user charge.

ZigZag Global is an alternative for UK-based retailers focused on domestic returns: its free plan offers unlimited returns, with carrier charges applying.

Loop Returns is another returns option, with a free Checkout+ plan that includes US and Canada domestic return labels, Return Bars® and advanced features.

PostCo Returns suits merchants able to enable Checkout+; its free Checkout+ plan includes unlimited returns, order edits and upsells, with every PostCo app included.

Return Rabbit is an alternative with a Startup plan billed annually at 200.00 USD per month, including 1,200 annual returns, a 10-day free trial and bring-your-own carriers.

ReturnGO is a paid alternative with a Premium plan starting at 147.00 USD per month, including an embedded self-service portal, exchanges, and refunds, gift cards and store credit.

Returns Management Software and Chargeback Management Software are useful directories for comparing products by category.

Verdict

Redo is a strong choice for Shopify merchants who want a free returns starting point, no-fee order editing and room to add related post-purchase workflows. Its breadth and label coverage are persuasive; the Shopify eligibility rule, usage-based charges and lack of guaranteed support are the clearest reasons to choose another tool.
