Overview

Voice agents transcribe callers, use language models and connected tools to formulate spoken replies, and can pass a call to a person with context. That combination suits lead qualification, appointment booking, customer support, after-hours coverage and outbound follow-up better than a basic menu that only routes callers. Teams can connect MCP servers and business systems for tasks such as searching a knowledge base, updating a CRM, booking a calendar slot or looking up an order.

Voice, SMS and WhatsApp workflows share an account or workspace. The web dashboard brings together CRM, analytics, reports, call logs, API access, AI configuration, team management and phone-number management, giving operators a broad control center for those channels. Call recording is included with voice and defaults to three months of retention, after which recordings are deleted or anonymized subject to stated exceptions.

Key features

Agents connected to business context

Knowledge sources include apps, websites, files, Notion and connected sources. The ability to connect MCP tools is useful when an agent needs to do more than answer a scripted question; it can support business actions such as CRM writeback or calendar booking. The service does not name specific third-party integration products, so teams should assess whether their systems can be connected through the described MCP approach.

Workspace controls and privacy

Role-based access controls let teams manage access by workspace role. Viotalk says it uses SOC 2-aligned practices and encryption in transit and at rest, and that conversation data stays within the customer workspace rather than training models for other customers. These are relevant safeguards for business conversations, though they do not replace an organization’s own review of its security and compliance needs.

Pricing

The Pay-as-you-go plan costs 0.00 USD per free and charges by usage, with no seat licenses or forced tiers. Inbound voice is $0.008/min, outbound voice is $0.012/min, SMS is $0.020/msg, and a local number costs $2/mo. AI voice using OpenAI adds 20–30% per minute. This structure fits teams that want to avoid fixed seat costs or begin with variable call volume, but spending can rise with usage and phone numbers are not included.

Mobile apps are optional add-ons: Android app is 10.00 USD per month, iOS app is 10.00 USD per month, and Android + iOS Bundle is 15.00 USD per month. The bundle is the lower-cost choice for teams needing both platforms; teams using only the web dashboard or API can avoid those fees. Viotalk has no free plan, and no seat or usage quota is stated for the pay-as-you-go option.

Platforms

Viotalk supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The web dashboard centralizes operational controls, while Android and iOS apps are separately priced for teams that need mobile access.

Who it's for

Viotalk is aimed at business teams, including healthcare, restaurants, education, sales and customer support. It is most compelling where recurring calls can be automated with access to business context and a human can take over when a conversation needs judgment. It is less suitable for buyers seeking a free tier, included phone numbers or a fixed all-in subscription covering call and messaging usage.

Pros and cons

Pros: Agents can use connected tools and hand calls to a person with context, supporting workflows that need action as well as conversation.
Pros: Voice, SMS and WhatsApp workflows share a workspace, with dashboard tools for logs, reporting, team and number management.
Pros: No seat licenses or forced tiers keep the base model flexible for teams with changing usage.
Cons: Per-minute voice, per-message SMS, number rental and an AI voice surcharge make costs dependent on usage.
Cons: There is no free plan, phone numbers are not included, and mobile apps add monthly charges.
