Overview

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, 1CRM pairs a visual sales pipeline with marketing automation and mobile apps. Its platform range spans web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. That breadth, alongside cloud subscriptions and on-premise plans, gives teams more deployment choice than a cloud-only setup.

For teams comparing the broader CRM Software category, the key question is how quickly user, account, and contact caps become restrictive. Startup plans cap all three; Professional and Enterprise cloud subscriptions remove those caps.

Key features

Visual sales pipeline: A visual view of sales opportunities can help teams follow pipeline activity rather than rely on an unstructured contact list.
Marketing automation: Automation alongside CRM gives teams both sales and marketing capabilities in one product, though the specific automation tools are not detailed here.
Mobile app and broad platform support: Mobile apps are listed, with support across iOS and Android in addition to desktop operating systems and web. That makes 1CRM a candidate for teams that need access across different device types.
Deployment choice: Cloud subscriptions and on-premise options let buyers choose between hosted plans and a self-managed installation.

Pricing

1CRM has a free plan, a 30-day trial, and paid cloud subscriptions starting at $13/user/mo billed annually. The annual plan amounts below are stated per user/month billed annually; month-to-month prices are monthly. The free on-premise option is free forever.

Enterprise (month-to-month)	$39.00 USD per month; month-to-month	Unlimited users, accounts, and targets/leads/contacts; 2.5 GB storage per user
Professional (on-premise perpetual license)	$405.00 USD per month; one-time payment/user	Unlimited accounts and targets/leads/contacts
Enterprise (on-premise perpetual license)	$585.00 USD per month; one-time payment/user	Unlimited accounts and targets/leads/contacts

Startup is the budget-conscious choice for a team of up to three users that can stay within 300 accounts and 750 targets, leads, or contacts. Startup+ doubles those caps and allows up to 10 users, but still limits growth. Professional is the more practical cloud tier for teams that need uncapped users and records; Enterprise raises per-user storage from 2 GB to 2.5 GB. Month-to-month costs more than the corresponding annual subscription, while the free on-premise plan has the same narrow caps as Startup.

The on-premise Professional and Enterprise options are labeled perpetual licenses with one-time payment per user, despite the listed prices being expressed per month. Buyers should weigh those terms carefully against the cloud subscriptions.

Platforms

1CRM supports web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. That coverage suits organizations with a mix of desktop and mobile systems, rather than teams standardized on a single operating environment.

Who it's for

1CRM is a fit for teams seeking both sales pipeline and marketing automation features, especially those that value a choice between cloud and on-premise deployment. Small teams can start with Startup, but organizations expecting more than three users or the listed record caps should look to Startup+ or Professional. Teams needing unlimited users, accounts, and contacts will need Professional or Enterprise cloud; Enterprise is most relevant when the additional 0.5 GB of storage per user matters.

It is less suitable for a small team that expects rapid growth but wants to remain on a free plan: the free on-premise tier caps users, accounts, and contacts at the same levels as Startup.

Pros and cons

Pro: Cloud and on-premise choices accommodate different deployment preferences.
Pro: Professional and Enterprise cloud plans remove user, account, and contact caps, giving growing teams a clear step up from Startup limits.
Pro: Web, desktop, and mobile platform support can serve teams using varied devices.
Con: Startup and the free on-premise plan both cap usage at three users, 300 accounts, and 750 targets/leads/contacts, which can constrain even a growing small team.
Con: Month-to-month cloud subscriptions cost more than annual billing at each matching tier.
Con: On-premise perpetual licenses have prices presented per month despite being described as one-time per-user payments, which makes their cost basis less straightforward.

Alternatives

For a free CRM with a higher stated user and record ceiling, Vtiger CRM offers a free plan for up to 10 users and 3,000 records, plus 1,000 emails per month and 3 GB storage; its listed platforms are iOS and Android. Choose it over 1CRM if those caps and mobile platforms are the priority.

eGain Customer Engagement Hub is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, API, and web platforms. Kustomer is another paid option, with an Ultimate plan described as Talk to Sales and listed with 100M custom objects and tasks, API rate and webhook limits, and 300 brands.

Intercom may suit buyers seeking a paid tool with a free trial and an Essential plan at $19.00 USD per month, billed annually per seat, which includes Fin AI Agent, Messenger, shared inbox and ticketing, and pre-built reports. Agentforce Contact Center is a paid alternative with native voice, digital channels, and AI enhancements in its $125.00 USD per month plan.

Oracle Siebel CRM is a paid alternative spanning web, self-hosted, mobile, and Windows platforms. Freshdesk offers a free program for 1–2 agents for six months and a free trial; it is worth considering for buyers comparing a time-limited free option. YundaDesk has a free web plan with unlimited agents, channels, conversations, and messages, plus 1,000 AI credits per month.

Verdict

Choose 1CRM if you want pipeline and marketing automation features, broad platform support, and a genuine choice between cloud and on-premise deployment. Professional is the strongest fit for teams that need uncapped users and records, while the free on-premise Startup plan works only for very small teams within its strict caps. Look elsewhere if those limits are too tight or if you need a free option with a larger stated user and record allowance.
