What it is
project-open is an open-source application for service-industry organizations, combining project management, portfolio management, IT service management and professional services automation. Project tools cover planning, staffing, tracking, collaboration and accounting. Portfolio functions coordinate multiple projects, dependencies, approvals, resources and capacity. ITSM modules address incidents, helpdesk, changes, configuration, software releases and service-level agreements; PSA tools include expenses, invoicing, payments, absence management and time tracking.
The product supports Linux, Windows, web, API and self-hosted use. Installation choices include native Linux, Windows, VMware virtual machines and Docker, and it is also offered as SaaS on a private server managed by the project-open team, with administrator privileges for customers.
