OpenSession
What it is
OpenSession is a free, MIT-licensed platform for conference organizers managing submissions, reviews, schedules, and speaker onboarding. It runs on the web, through an API, or as a self-hosted service on Cloudflare Workers. Organizers can build MDX call-for-papers forms with conditional logic, multiple speakers, and file uploads; each speaker may submit up to three talks per event. Reviewers vote, comment, and view aggregate scores without administrator access. Accepted sessions can be placed into rooms and time slots, with room and speaker conflicts flagged. OpenSession sends ICS calendar invitations and updates them when schedules change. Speakers use a portal for profiles, submission tracking, onboarding tasks, and file uploads. Embeddable agendas, speaker galleries, JSON feeds, and ICS feeds support publishing and integrations. Self-hosting uses Cloudflare D1 and R2, subject to listed free-tier limits. The product does not include CRM, marketing pages, or payment processing.
