OCS Inventory
Granville, France
What it is
OCS Inventory scans and categorizes hardware and software across an organization’s IT environment. Agents on computers send inventory details to an OCS server, where administrators can review results in a web console, view discovered network hardware, and create deployment packages. Agents can retrieve packages over HTTP or HTTPS and report deployment status and statistics. IP discovery and SNMP scans can find network equipment, including devices without an agent. The server also offers a REST API and lists ITSM-NG, GLPI, CMDBuild, and iTop as compatible tools. Optional plugins cover VMware vCenter inventory, installed drivers, and user-installed applications. CVE Search compares fleet inventory with the CVE-Mitre register to identify machines exposed to software vulnerabilities. OCS Inventory is open source, with cloud and on-premise deployment options. OCS Free costs nothing and includes unlimited agents, the complete software, community support, and plugin access. OCS Cloud costs €250 a month and includes hosting, updates, and unlimited support.
