What it is

GradingPal is a web-based tool that assesses student work against rubrics, generates scores and individualized feedback, and gives teachers classroom insights. It supports essays, worksheets, quizzes, exams, problem sets, presentations, art, and oral or video assignments, including supported handwritten math and science work. Teachers can inspect assessment evidence, edit scores and comments, and choose which feedback students receive. Feedback style, language, and detail can be adjusted for the learner and lesson. GradingPal supports Common Core, NGSS, TEKS, AP, and IB frameworks, as well as teacher-defined criteria. Google Classroom supports importing classes, assignments, rubrics, and submissions, then returning approved comments with or without grades; Canvas and Schoology are available on a school plan. The Free plan allows 50 submissions per month. Lite costs $14 a month billed annually, and Pro costs $26 a month billed annually. Pro includes unlimited submissions and performance analytics. GradingPal says student work is not used to train AI models and lists encryption and education privacy coverage.
