Fireside
What it is
Fireside is free, open-source software for organizing conferences, from proposal collection and review through speaker obligations and agendas. It provides role-specific views for organizers, reviewers, speakers, volunteers, attendees, and the public. Reviewers receive assigned proposals with names hidden; organizers can define dated review rounds, keep scores private until submission, and export results to CSV. Call-for-speakers forms support configurable questions, conditional fields, and autosave. The agenda builder blocks room or speaker double-booking. Speaker records include filters, saved searches, notes, duplicate merging, CSV import, and invitation workflows. File requests preserve earlier versions, support organizer-speaker comments, and can package current files in a ZIP. Attendees can save sessions without logging in, check walking conflicts, use calendar files, and connect with people they met. Fireside runs in the customer’s Cloudflare account with one Worker and one database, and is available through web, API, and self-hosted options. It is licensed under Apache-2.0.
