BankSummary
What it is
BankSummary is a browser-based service that brings connected bank accounts into one dashboard for viewing balances and transaction activity. It connects through Plaid to more than 12,000 financial institutions across the United States and Canada. Supported account types include checking, savings, credit cards, investments, mortgages, and loans.
Its features include balance tracking, transaction search, spending insights, financial forecasting, and automated reports. Transactions are categorized automatically, and users can rename categories. Reports can be downloaded in CSV, DOC, or PDF format, and connections with accounting tools, spreadsheets, and ERP systems support exports or automatic syncing. Bank connections are read-only: the service can view balances and transaction history but cannot initiate payments, move funds, or change accounts. BankSummary says it protects data in transit and at rest with AES-256 encryption, uses multi-factor authentication, and does not store bank login credentials on its servers. The free plan is free for up to two accounts, with no credit card required. A free trial is also listed.
