To create an AI cover in a public figure’s voice, first obtain that person’s documented permission, then use a tool whose voice-cloning and commercial terms fit your release. On a Samsung Galaxy phone, browser-based tools can handle the upload and export; desktop or self-hosted tools require another computer. Keep the permission record, disclose the synthetic voice, and check the song rights separately.
Get Consent Before You Clone A Public Figure
Do not clone or publish a recognizable public figure’s voice from an interview, song, livestream, or fan recording unless you have authorization that covers voice modeling and your intended use. Save the signed agreement or written confirmation, the permitted name, the project, the platforms, the territory, the duration, and whether monetization is allowed. A permission to use a recording does not automatically prove permission to create a voice model.
Spotify said on September 25, 2025 that vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it. Spotify also announced an AI Persona badge on August 11, 2026 for identities that may be AI-generated. If you distribute there, follow those disclosure and authorization requirements and check the current policy before uploading.

Prepare The Cover And Permission Record
- Write a one-line brief such as: “Create a respectful cover of [song title] using the authorized [artist name] voice model, matching the original key and tempo, with no new lyrics.” Keep the artist’s authorization with the brief.
- Use a legally obtained instrumental or your own arrangement. Upload only files you are allowed to process, and remove unrelated voices from the source.

Label The Upload Clearly
Put “AI-generated vocal performance” in the title or description and identify the authorized performer or estate only as your agreement allows. State whether the public figure performed, approved, or merely licensed the voice; do not suggest personal endorsement. If a platform offers an AI label or credits field, use it.
