Overview

UXPin lets teams build prototypes with interactions, states, conditional flows, variables, expressions, and dynamic content. That depth is useful when a review needs to show how an interface responds, rather than merely how it looks. Built-in coded libraries such as MUI, Tailwind UI, and Ant Design help connect prototype work with established component systems.

Collaboration is a strength: prototypes support unlimited viewers and commenters, public and team comments, and real-time collaboration. Design-system support, user testing, and developer handoff extend the workflow beyond prototyping. Integrations include Slack, FullStory, Jira, Storybook, Git, a Figma plugin, and Sketch import.

Key features

Interactive prototyping: Conditional logic, variables, and expressions are included in Core, letting teams represent more complex interface behavior without moving to Growth.
Coded libraries: MUI, Tailwind UI, Ant Design, and other libraries can provide a more development-oriented starting point than a purely visual mockup workflow.
Review and collaboration: Unlimited viewers and commenters reduce friction in broad reviews, while public and team comments offer different ways to gather feedback.
Connected workflows: Integrations with Jira, Storybook, Git, Slack, FullStory, and imports from Sketch can help teams bring design and development work together.
Version history: Core keeps seven days of history; Growth extends that to 30 days, which matters for teams that need a longer rollback window.

Pricing

UXPin offers a limited Free plan and a 14-day trial. Free allows two prototypes and 50 AI credits; after the trial, the limited free plan remains. That is enough for a small evaluation, but the prototype cap makes it a poor fit for ongoing work across multiple projects.

Core costs 49.00 USD per month, billed monthly, per seat. It is aimed at individuals and small teams and includes unlimited prototypes, 200 AI credits per month, and seven-day version history. Core includes conditional logic, variables, and expressions, so the cheaper paid tier retains much of the product's distinctive prototyping capability, but has fewer credits and a shorter history than Growth.

Growth costs 69.00 USD per month, billed monthly, per seat. It is aimed at growing product teams and includes unlimited prototypes, 500 AI credits per month, and 30-day version history. It also adds roles and permissions, SSO, and two-factor authentication, making it the more suitable tier for teams with access-control and security needs.

Annual billing is 29.00 USD per month for Core and 40.00 USD per month for Growth, billed yearly, with 40% savings. Extra AI credits start at 200 for $13/month. Enterprise has custom pricing and includes unlimited prototypes, custom AI credits, unlimited version history, and a security review; it is intended for large organizations. Support ranges from a knowledge base to dedicated Slack and an account manager.

Platforms

UXPin supports web, Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows. The app lineup includes UXPin for Mac and Windows, plus Mirror for iOS and Android. Cloud, desktop, and mobile deployment give teams several ways to access the product.

Who it's for

UXPin is best suited to product designers and teams that need interactive prototypes, coded design systems, collaborative review, and developer handoff in one workflow. Core makes sense for individuals or small teams that need unlimited prototypes and advanced logic. Growth is a better fit when a larger team needs more AI credits, longer version history, roles, or SSO and two-factor authentication. Students in degree or diploma programs can use UXPin for free after verification.

It is less compelling for someone who only needs a few simple mockups: the Free plan's two-prototype cap is restrictive, while paid plans are priced per seat and carry monthly AI-credit quotas.

Pros and cons

Pro: Core includes conditional logic, variables, and expressions, so complex interactive prototypes do not require the higher tier.
Pro: Unlimited viewers and commenters, public and team comments, and real-time collaboration support broad review without limiting invited reviewers.
Pro: Built-in coded libraries and integrations such as Storybook, Git, and Jira support design-to-development workflows.
Con: The Free plan is capped at two prototypes and 50 AI credits, limiting its usefulness beyond evaluation.
Con: Core and Growth provide 200 and 500 AI credits per month respectively, so teams with heavier AI-credit needs may need to buy extras.
Con: Core's version history lasts seven days; the 30-day history and team access controls require Growth.

Alternatives

For a paid option centered on generated UI and API credits, Criei costs 19.00 USD per month and includes 50 UI and 100 API credits per month plus unlimited projects; choose it if that credit-based generation plan better fits your work than UXPin's interactive-prototyping workflow.

Figma Make offers a free Starter plan with 150 AI credits per day and 500 per month, or a Professional Full seat for 16.00 USD per month with 3,000 monthly credits. It may suit readers prioritizing a larger AI-credit allowance at a lower paid monthly price.

Relume has a free-forever Site Builder plan with one project, one page, read-only sharing, and 30 Webflow and 30 React components. Choose it when those specific free website-building limits fit the project.

Paper has a free plan with unlimited viewers and editors, 100 MCP tool calls per week, limited image generation, and a 25 MB maximum image size; it may suit teams seeking those collaboration and tool-call allowances.

UX Pilot is a freemium option whose first design is free, with an Enterprise plan offering enterprise API, SSO, team access controls, and design-system integration. Consider it when those enterprise capabilities or a free first design are the priority.

Visily offers a free Starter tier with 300 AI credits per month and limited boards and elements, or a 14.00 USD per month Pro plan with 3,000 monthly credits. It is a lower-priced alternative for readers focused on AI-credit volume.

Coherent is a free, open-source desktop option for Linux, macOS, and Windows, with unlimited projects, 40+ validators with auto-fix, and support for bringing your own LLM key. Choose it if open-source desktop software and those capabilities are a better fit.

EaseUI has a free web plan with one generation session of six variants and a one-time Premium plan for 99.00 USD; it may suit readers who prefer a one-time purchase over per-seat monthly pricing.

Verdict

Choose UXPin if your team needs behavior-rich prototypes, coded libraries, and a collaborative path to developer handoff. Its strongest case is the combination of advanced prototyping in Core and scalable review; look elsewhere if you need a generous free tier, substantially higher AI-credit limits, or lower-cost individual access.
