Overview

Steve AI combines several kinds of source material with AI visuals, stock media, and animated explainer styles. Users can change visuals at scene level without regenerating the whole video, a useful way to refine a draft when only one segment needs work. AI presenters, script-to-video, scene generation, subtitles, and a brand kit round out the creation tools.

Videos can be downloaded or shared to YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other channels. Maker blog-described integrations include Getty media and ElevenLabs voiceovers, along with beta direct publishing to YouTube. Steve AI says it encrypts data in transit with 256-bit encryption and at rest with AES-256, uses TLS/SSL on application endpoints, and follows GDPR and CCPA processes. Enterprise adds AI data privacy and advanced security, as well as SSO.

Key features

Flexible creation and scene editing

Starting from text, images, prompts, scripts, blogs, or audio makes Steve AI useful for repurposing material rather than requiring every project to begin from scratch. Scene-level visual changes can reduce rework during revisions. That flexibility is most valuable to people producing recurring content; it does not remove the need to work within monthly video and media allowances on paid plans.

Styles and publishing

AI visuals and stock media offer different routes to a finished video, while animated explainer styles are a natural fit for instructional and business material. Direct sharing to major social and professional channels shortens the path from creation to publication. Resolution varies by plan, so users who need sharper exports must budget for a higher tier.

Pricing

Steve AI has a free plan and no free trial. The free tier includes 200 AI credits and 1,200 seconds of AI video creation, but exports have limited downloads. It is suitable for exploring the workflow, not for dependable ongoing publishing. Paid plans include commercial rights; reselling rights are exclusive to Enterprise.

Free: 0.00 USD per free. Includes 1,200 seconds of AI videos and 200 credits. Limited downloads make it a constrained option for regular publishing.
Basic: 120.00 USD per year, shown as $10/month and billed yearly. It includes 100 mins AI videos/month, 800 AI images and premium stock/month, 120 sec generative credits, and 720p video resolution. It suits budget-conscious creators who can accept lower resolution.
Starter: 360.00 USD per year, shown as $30/month and billed yearly. It keeps the Basic quotas and raises output to 1080p. The price premium mainly buys resolution, so it fits users whose work needs Full HD rather than 720p.
Pro: 480.00 USD per year, shown as $40/month and billed yearly. It includes 300 mins AI videos/month, 2,400 AI images and premium stock/month, 120 sec generative credits, and 2K video. The larger video and media quotas suit heavier production; generative credits remain 120 sec.
Enterprise: custom pricing. The listed allowance is 6,000 mins AI videos/month, 48,000 AI images and premium stock/month, and 50 mins generative credits. It is the required tier for reselling rights and the only tier with SSO, alongside AI data privacy and advanced security.
Generative AI: 40.00 USD per month. It includes 400 mins AI videos/month, 3,200 AI images and premium stock/month, 15 min generative credits, and 2K video. It offers more generative credits and video minutes than Pro, but its monthly price is not an annual-billing equivalent of Pro's listed yearly rate.

Basic, Starter, and Pro all specify monthly usage quotas and annual billing; the published plan terms do not state seat counts. Support rises from Basic on Free and Basic to Advanced on Starter, Premium on Pro, and Priority on Enterprise. Choose by the allowance and resolution needed, not just the displayed monthly equivalent: the cheaper annual plans have lower resolution, and Basic and Starter share the same video, image, and generative-credit quotas.

Platforms

Steve AI is available on iOS and the web. That pairing suits users who want browser-based creation or mobile access, but does not cover Android in the platform list.

Who it's for

Steve AI is a strong fit for teams and creators who regularly turn existing material into marketing, social, education, storytelling, or business training videos and want to revise scenes independently. Basic or Starter can fit lighter production with a clear 720p or 1080p need; Pro or Generative AI suits larger monthly workloads. It is less compelling for occasional users who need unrestricted exports, or anyone who requires reselling rights but cannot justify Enterprise.

Pros and cons

Pro: Multiple source formats make it practical to repurpose scripts, blogs, images, and audio into video.
Pro: Scene-level edits avoid regenerating the whole video when just one visual needs revision.
Pro: AI visuals, stock media, and animated explainer styles support different kinds of content.
Con: Free exports have limited downloads, restricting the free plan's usefulness for ongoing publishing.
Con: Basic is capped at 720p, while Starter costs more for 1080p without larger listed monthly video or image quotas.
Con: Reselling rights and SSO require Enterprise, whose price is custom.

Alternatives

Consider HeyGen if you want an alternative with a free plan capped at three videos per month and one minute per video. Pika is another freemium option; its free plan provides zero monthly credits, so it is less suitable if you need included recurring generation. Choose Powtoon instead for a free plan offering 720p videos up to three minutes, with screen recording and basic templates and characters, accepting a watermark.

Animaker is an alternative freemium video maker. FlexClip offers a free plan with 12 online projects, videos up to 10 minutes, and one stock video and audio per project. Vmake Labs has a free plan with 20 daily credits and up to 720p output. Krikey AI provides 20 one-time free credits, with its Pro plan at 15.00 USD per month for 165 monthly credits. Easy-Peasy.AI Video Generator is another freemium option.

Verdict

Choose Steve AI if you need a flexible way to turn varied source material into videos and value editing individual scenes over rebuilding a whole project. Its mix of styles, publishing options, and escalating allowances makes it a capable choice for recurring content teams. Look elsewhere if limited free downloads are a deal-breaker, you need Android, or you require resale rights without Enterprise pricing.
