Overview

Save My Exams is a revision platform for students preparing for GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, IB, AP, AS and O Level exams. It suits students who want exam-board-oriented materials and guided practice, as well as teachers assembling topic-specific tests. Its breadth is useful, but uneven coverage and restrictions on free accounts make it worth checking against your course and study needs.

Key features

The library brings together revision notes, exam questions and answers, past papers, mark schemes, flashcards and downloadable PDFs. Qualified teachers and examiners write the notes, questions and mark schemes, and at least two Curriculum Experts review content before publication. Resources are matched to exam-board specifications wherever possible; because subject and qualification coverage varies, students should confirm that their course is represented before relying on the platform as their main revision source.

Smart Mark, Revision Note Chat, Exam Question Chat, Guided Study and Guided Practice provide AI-assisted study options. Target Tests and strengths-and-weaknesses analysis can help focus practice on weaker topics, while the Study Planner supports a planned routine. This is a stronger fit for students who want direction and feedback than for those looking only for a reference library. Free accounts can download past papers and mark schemes, but not model answers, which also cannot be edited.

Teachers can build tests from past exam and expert-written questions, filtered by topic and difficulty. That gives the service a use beyond individual revision, though the broader Test Builder access is reserved for Premium.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and provides selected resources and features, with limited revision materials. It is a sensible way to explore the platform, but the model-answer download restriction and limited materials may constrain sustained exam preparation.

Essential costs 8.00 USD per month, billed at $96 per year. It includes Basic Test Builder, Revision Notes, Exam Questions, Mock Exams and Smart Chat. This suits students who want the core study materials and basic test creation without the full Premium toolkit.

Premium costs 16.00 USD per month, billed at $192 per year. It adds Full Test Builder, downloads, a strengths-and-weaknesses tracker, answer feedback and guided practice to everything in Essential. The extra tools are most relevant to students who will use targeted feedback and teachers who need fuller test creation; otherwise Essential covers the stated core resources at half the monthly price.

Premium monthly, Premium three-monthly and Premium annual plans offer full access to Premium resources at custom pricing.

Platforms

Save My Exams is available on Android, iOS and the web, with offline access. Although mobile apps are identified as unavailable, the service supports mobile platforms; offline access may suit revision away from a connection.

Who it's for

Students across the listed school qualifications can use it for notes, question practice and planning, provided their subject and exam board are covered. Teachers may value its topic- and difficulty-filtered test creation. It is less suited to anyone who needs guaranteed coverage across every course or free access to downloadable model answers.

Pros and cons

Pros: Notes, questions, past papers, flashcards and planning tools sit together, helping students move from review to practice.
Pros: Teacher-written and examiner-written materials receive review by at least two Curriculum Experts, adding an editorial check to the core content.
Pros: Teachers can create tests from past and expert-written questions, with topic and difficulty filters.
Cons: Coverage varies by subject and qualification, so the library may not match every learner's course.
Cons: Free accounts cannot download or edit model answers, limiting how learners can use them outside the platform.
Cons: Premium doubles Essential's monthly price; its added tracker, feedback, guided practice and fuller test builder matter most to users who will actively use those tools.

Verdict

Save My Exams is a strong choice for students whose qualification is covered and who want exam-focused resources, practice and planning in one place; its reviewed content and targeted tools give revision more structure than a notes-only service. Check coverage first, and look elsewhere if free downloadable model answers or comprehensive coverage of your course is essential.
