Overview

Red Center combines live MRR, churn, trial and cohort reporting with segments by country, store and plan. Save attribution helps teams connect retention activity with outcomes, while cohort analysis and unit-economics metrics extend its use beyond billing-failure monitoring. This pairing is useful for teams that want to measure subscription performance and act on it without moving subscription management into another product.

RedChurn reads subscription events and ingests provider webhooks without changing products, prices or subscriptions. That separation suits businesses keeping their existing billing setup, though the available flows vary by integration: RevenueCat supports email and in-app actions, while Superwall and Polar support email.

Key features

Billing recovery and cancellation saves

Webhook-detected billing issues can trigger dunning emails or an in-app card-update prompt the next time a subscriber opens the app. For cancellation attempts, native iOS and Android save screens are paired with email follow-ups within 48 hours. Using Apple and Google native flows that comply with store requirements is a practical fit for teams seeking to intervene without replacing their subscription arrangement.

Trial retention and win-back

RedChurn can send trial-cancellation reminders three and one days before the trial ends, and show an in-app save flow when someone tries to cancel during a trial. After a subscription expires, multi-step email sequences and prompts on return visits can encourage reactivation, which Red Center tracks. These options give teams several points to address churn, but the email and in-app mix depends on the integration in use.

Delivery and setup

Emails can come from the customer’s domain through Resend, while push notifications use the customer’s FCM and APNs credentials. The optional SDK is under 200 KB, and setup can begin without an app release. That can reduce deployment friction, but teams still need to supply their own email and push credentials for those channels.

Pricing

Starter costs 0.00 USD per free, billed monthly. It allows up to 50 active subscribers, one app and 30 days of retention history. That is a sensible entry point for a small app evaluating subscription reporting and retention workflows, but the subscriber cap and short history limit its usefulness as an enduring plan. App install attribution is marked as coming soon.

Growth is available from 500 subscribers, with unlimited apps and three years of retention history. Its price is custom pricing. The longer history and lack of an app-count ceiling better suit teams managing multiple apps or needing deeper trend analysis; the move from the free plan also means the published Starter terms do not cover teams below 500 subscribers seeking a paid tier.

Platforms

RedChurn supports Android, iOS, web and API. The native cancellation-save screens are specifically for iOS and Android, while the API and web support suit teams integrating subscription data into a broader workflow.

Who it's for

RedChurn is best for mobile-app teams that already use a supported billing integration and want to tie subscription analytics to automated recovery, trial retention and win-back. It is less compelling for businesses seeking a broad billing-management replacement: RedChurn reads events and webhooks but does not change products, prices or subscriptions. Teams on Superwall or Polar should also weigh their email-only flow support against the fuller email and in-app options available with RevenueCat.

Pros and cons

Pro: Analytics and recovery share one system, with save attribution connecting retention activity to subscription reporting.
Pro: Native cancellation-save screens and card-update prompts offer in-app interventions alongside email.
Pro: Starter costs 0.00 USD per free, giving small apps a way to begin with one app and a defined subscriber cap.
Con: Starter stops at 50 active subscribers and retains only 30 days of history, limiting its value as an app grows.
Con: In-app and email coverage differs by integration; Superwall and Polar support email, while RevenueCat supports both.
Con: Growth uses custom pricing, so teams cannot assess its cost from a fixed published rate.

Alternatives

Subscription Analytics Software is the broader category guide for comparing products in this space.

Kometrics is a better fit when an all-features free plan while tracked MRR is under $1,000 or a $19.00 USD per month plan with unlimited team members suits the budget and team needs.
CashSDK Revenue Analytics is worth considering for teams that want unlimited paywalls and experiments, with its Standard plan at $25.00 USD per month including the first $5,000 of monthly tracked revenue and charging 0.5% beyond that.
Qonversion may suit teams seeking unlimited apps and seats, with Pro free at or under $7,000 MTR and priced at $0.80 USD per month based on monthly tracked revenue above that threshold.
Submetrics is an option for teams prioritizing a paid analytics plan with a 30-day history, email churn alerts and API access; Starter is $19.00 USD per month, or $15/mo with annual billing.
GrowPanel is another freemium option for teams comparing analytics products.
MRR.AI is a web-based alternative for teams looking for core MRR, ARR and churn reporting with a free plan.
SimpleSubscription is an alternative for teams comparing subscription software with a free plan and trial.
OpenMogul is a free alternative for teams that prefer a self-hosted option.

Verdict

Choose RedChurn if you run a mobile app on a supported billing integration and want subscription analytics tied to recovery and cancellation-save workflows. Its central advantage is the combination of metrics, attribution and interventions without changing the underlying billing setup. Look elsewhere if your subscriber base has outgrown Starter and you need a fixed Growth price, or if your integration requires in-app flows that it does not support.
