Overview

Radius Velocity is a web portal and mobile app for managing fuel-card administration. It is best for UK businesses already using Radius fuel cards that want spending reports and card controls alongside their account. Its free access is useful, but it is not an option for businesses without a Radius customer account.

Key features

Weekly HMRC-compliant invoices and a rolling 12-month invoice history give account holders a practical place to review current charges and retrieve recent records. Reports break spending down by driver, vehicle type, station or card, with graph, table and map views and CSV downloads. Those options support both quick checks and further analysis, though the reporting is centered on fuel-card spending.

Users can cancel lost cards and order replacements through their account, as well as freeze lost or stolen cards online or in the app and report the incident. These controls give account holders a direct way to respond when a card goes missing and help prevent unauthorised transactions.

Pairing the system with geo-plus vehicle tracking adds MPG data and alerts for potentially suspicious card transactions when the vehicle is absent. That can connect fuel activity with vehicle use, but it requires the tracking service. The separate Velocity Vehicle Check app adds daily smartphone checks, instant defect reports, digital records and MOT, tax and service reminders. Fleets that need those checks get a useful companion workflow; those seeking only fuel-card administration need not rely on it.

Pricing

Radius Velocity: 0.00 USD per free. The plan is free to UK customers, with no free trial. It requires a Radius customer account, so the zero price does not make it a standalone fuel-management product for other businesses.

The fuel card account’s main contact receives initial full access. The account holder can request access for additional employees, which lets businesses extend use beyond one administrator, though employee access is set up by request. Login access is established when the fuel card account is opened.

Platforms

Radius Velocity is available on Android, iOS and the web. Card freezing is supported online and in the app. The separate Velocity Vehicle Check app handles vehicle checks on smartphones.

Who it's for

Choose Radius Velocity if your business is a Radius customer in the UK and needs a no-cost way to review fuel-card invoices, analyze spending or respond to a lost card. It is a closer fit for fleets that can use the geo-plus tracking integration or the companion vehicle-check app. Businesses that need a standalone product, or fuel reporting beyond card spending, should consider other options.

Pros and cons

Pro: Free to eligible UK Radius customers, with invoices, reports and card controls in one portal.
Pro: Reports can be viewed in three formats and exported as CSV, offering flexibility for routine review and further analysis.
Pro: Lost or stolen cards can be frozen online or in the app, with replacement ordering and incident reporting also supported.
Con: A Radius customer account is required, excluding businesses that want to adopt the portal independently.
Con: MPG data and vehicle-absence transaction alerts depend on pairing with geo-plus tracking.
Con: Additional employee access must be requested by the account holder rather than being opened directly by each employee.

Alternatives

Fuel Management Software is a broader category to browse if you want to compare products beyond Radius Velocity.

For a paid alternative, consider Track Star Fleet Fuel Management, which supports Android, iOS, API and web access. Eurowag Fuel Management is another paid Android, iOS and web option, with quote-based pricing and package limits not stated on its product page.

Multi Service Fuel Card may suit readers comparing paid fuel-card options; it has a free plan, and its Fuel Card account lists Program Maintenance Fees $0 - $10 per month, Fuel Transaction Fees $0-$2 per transaction, and Money Fees 0%-3% of transaction amount. iFleet Pay is a paid alternative with Android, API, iOS and web platforms.

AtoB Fleet Fuel Cards may fit businesses seeking prepaid cards with no spending limit beyond loaded funds and fuel and non-fuel purchases: its AtoB Unlimited plan is 3.00 USD per month, with a $35 account set-up fee and $3 per active card per month. Fuelcard.ai is a paid Android, iOS and web alternative with Starter, Pro and Enterprise plans.

Fuelman Online Account Manager is a paid Android, iOS and web option with Basic and Pro plans; its Basic plan includes fuel cards and maintenance management is available for an additional fee. Coast is another paid Android, iOS and web alternative, with Cards and expense management and Bill Pay plans.

Verdict

Radius Velocity is a sensible choice for UK Radius customers who want free fuel-card administration with reporting and responsive card security. The main reason to choose it is that those core tools come with the customer account at no charge. Look elsewhere if you do not already use Radius, or if your vehicle insights depend on capabilities beyond the geo-plus integration.
