Overview

Paperform is a no-code builder for forms and product pages, aimed at organizations that need to connect information gathering with transactions or follow-up work. It is a stronger fit for those broader workflows than for teams that need to create forms from a phone.

Key features

Forms can handle quizzes, conditional logic, calculations, file uploads and payments. Every plan also includes Papersign e-signatures and Stepper workflow automation, so a form can be part of a transaction or process rather than a standalone questionnaire. AI can create a styled form from a prompt, turn a PDF or image into a form, generate calculation formulas and analyze submissions. These tools expand the range of work the platform can cover, but creation and editing still require a desktop or laptop.

Paperform supports payments through Stripe, Square, PayPal Business and Braintree. It connects with more than 2,000 apps through direct integrations, Zapier and Make. Forms can be embedded externally, published as standalone pages or used in WordPress; respondents can fill them out on mobile. The Standard API is available on Pro, Business and Enterprise, while Business API endpoints require Business or Enterprise.

All plans allow unlimited forms and impose no per-form field limit. Unlimited usage is subject to a fair use policy, and submissions are capped at 10,000 per day regardless of plan. Paperform states that it is GDPR compliant and SOC 2 Type II compliant, with roles and permissions, data residency and privacy controls. SSO and access management are also supported.

Pricing

Paperform has a free plan and paid plans starting at $29.00 USD per month, billed monthly; prices exclude sales taxes. Paid plans include a 7-day trial without a credit card. Unlimited usage remains subject to fair use, and the daily submission cap applies across subscriptions.

Free — 0.00 USD per free: Free forever, with unlimited users and forms, 30 submissions per month, 3 signed documents per month, 5,000 automation credits per month and 100 MB of upload storage. Paperform branding cannot be removed. This is a useful way for an individual or small team to begin, but the submission and storage caps, plus required branding, make it a poor fit for an unbranded customer-facing workflow.
Essentials — 29.00 USD per month: Unlimited forms, 1 user, 1,200 submissions per year, 240 payment submissions per year and 1 GB of upload storage. It suits a solo operator who needs more room than Free and payment collection, but the single seat rules out shared work and the annual quotas still constrain volume.
Pro — 49.00 USD per month: Unlimited forms, 3 users, 12,000 submissions per year, 3,000 payment submissions per year and 10 GB of storage. This is the more practical tier for a small team; it also unlocks the Standard API. Its one shared workspace and defined quotas may not suit teams that need separated workspaces or heavier throughput.
Business — 124.00 USD per month: Unlimited forms, 5 users, 120,000 submissions per year, 30,000 payment submissions per year and 100 GB of storage, plus 10 workspaces. It is aimed at businesses needing greater scale, integrations and priority support. Business API endpoints are available here, but five seats remain a ceiling for teams that need more named users.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Unlimited submissions, users, signed documents and upload storage, with custom automation credits; SLA and local data residency are available. Unlimited workspaces make it the tier for organizations with broader deployment and governance needs.

Users and seats are unlimited on every plan according to Paperform's general plan terms, while the individual paid-plan descriptions specify 1 user on Essentials, 3 on Pro and 5 on Business. Buyers should weigh those plan-level seat counts when choosing a tier.

Platforms

Paperform is available on the web and through an API. Its responsive forms work on mobile devices, but there is no mobile editor and no Google Play or Apple App Store app. Teams that need to build or revise forms while away from a computer should look elsewhere.

Who it's for

Paperform makes sense for small and growing teams in marketing, eCommerce, education and professional services that want forms, payments, signatures and automated workflows together. It is less suitable for mobile-first form creation, or for high-volume collection on a plan whose quotas fall short. Paperform says it serves more than 500,000 business owners and creators and hundreds of millions of respondents; the company was launched in 2016 and is headquartered in Sydney, Australia.

Pros and cons

Pros: Forms, e-signatures and workflow automation are included on every plan, reducing the need to assemble those parts separately.
Pros: Unlimited forms with no per-form field limit, alongside payments and more than 2,000 app connections, gives teams room to build varied workflows.
Pros: Responsive respondent forms and multiple publishing options support use across mobile, embedded and standalone contexts.
Cons: Form creation and editing require a desktop or laptop, limiting teams that need to manage forms on mobile.
Cons: Free submissions, signed documents, automation credits and storage are capped, and its branding cannot be removed.
Cons: Paid plans have defined annual submission and payment-submission quotas; unlimited-use terms do not remove the 10,000-per-day cap.

Alternatives

For another form-builder option, compare Online Form Builders and Form Builder Software. Readers focused on API products can browse Form API Software, while lead-generation use cases may fit the Lead Capture Software category.

SurveyJS is worth considering when self-hosting or an API platform matters; its Essential plan offers unlimited forms, submissions and file uploads. FormKeep may suit a simpler, lower-cost collection need: its free plan allows 50 submissions per month and unlimited forms, while Essential is $4.99 USD per month. forms.app is an option for teams seeking unlimited monthly responses on a free web plan, though that plan limits users to five forms and 10 MB of file storage. Formsort may suit a team whose workflow is organized around flows; its free plan includes 100 flow starts per month, and Pro is $279.00 USD per month for 1,000 flow starts.

HeadlessForms, OpnForm, Basin and Endatix are other options to compare.

Verdict

Choose Paperform if your team needs one platform for customizable forms, payments, signatures and workflow automation, and can work within its desktop-only editor and plan quotas. Look elsewhere if mobile form editing is essential or if the capped lower tiers cannot support your submission volume.
