Overview

SurveyToGo is a market-research platform for designing questionnaires and coordinating interviews across personal, web and telephone fieldwork. It suits agencies managing projects across interviewers or locations. Its strongest case is the combination of offline collection and fieldwork oversight, while interview-based quotas make project sizing central to the buying decision.

Key features

Survey design and fieldwork

SurveyToGo supports CAPI, CAWI and CATI research, online or offline. Its designer handles branching, skips, filters, loops, piping, scripts and randomized rotations, giving teams options for complex questionnaires. Interviewers can keep working without a connection: responses are stored locally and uploaded automatically once access returns. That makes the platform a strong fit for fieldwork in areas with unreliable connectivity.

Surveys can present images, sounds and videos, and interviewers can attach photos, video or sound to responses. These capabilities suit studies that need contextual media, although teams should account for the extra material in project oversight and data handling.

Quality, quotas and data access

GPS tracking, silent voice recording, suspicious-interview flags and a console for accepting or rejecting interviews give supervisors concrete ways to review fieldwork. Global and interviewer-level quotas, alongside centralized control of interview history, locations, attachments and permissions, help coordinate larger or distributed projects. These controls are useful for teams that need active oversight, but may be more process than a small, simple survey requires.

SurveyToGo Insights and data connectors are available to all users at no extra cost, with visualization integrations for Power BI and Google Looker. A command-line utility supports automatic exports, and customers may access account data through an API. The maker also offers the platform as a hosted service or an on-premise model; on-premise customers must contact sales for arrangements.

Dooblo’s information security management system is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for SaaS data collection and questionnaire management. The pricing page describes biometric server locks, 24-hour surveillance, security patching and an enterprise-class network firewall. The privacy policy says SurveyToGo intends to comply or be compatible with applicable data-protection laws, including GDPR where applicable in the EU and EEA.

Pricing

SurveyToGo uses a freemium model. Users can register with 50 interviews preloaded, and test-mode interviews do not use production credits. The limit is that only 10 test interviews per survey are retained at a time, so teams evaluating a questionnaire with many test runs should plan around that cap. A free trial is also offered.

Paid interview packages have custom pricing. The 100 Interviews, 500 Interviews, 1,000 Interviews, 2,000 Interviews, 6,000 Interviews, 12,000 Interviews, 20,000 Interviews, 30,000 Interviews and 60,000 Interviews plans each include unlimited users, devices, surveys and questions. This structure may suit agencies whose project volume varies while keeping seats and questionnaire counts open; the tradeoff is that buyers need a sales quote to compare package costs. The 100-interview tier is the smallest stated allocation, while the larger tiers are designed for correspondingly higher response needs.

Platforms

SurveyToGo supports Android, iOS, web, Windows, API access and self-hosted deployment. That breadth can accommodate mobile field teams and centralized data workflows, while the on-premise route gives organizations an alternative to the hosted service.

Who it's for

The maker says the platform serves agencies ranging from smaller projects and audits to global market-research firms. Its offline collection, quotas and review controls are especially relevant to teams coordinating interviewers across locations. Organizations running only straightforward online questionnaires may find the fieldwork-management emphasis unnecessary.

Pros and cons

Pros: Offline collection stores responses locally and uploads them when connectivity returns, supporting field teams with inconsistent access.
Pros: GPS, recording, interview flags and accept-or-reject review give supervisors multiple quality-control options.
Pros: Unlimited users, devices, surveys and questions across the stated interview packages avoid seat and questionnaire caps.
Pros: Insights, connectors, Power BI and Google Looker integrations are available without additional cost.
Cons: The retained test-interview cap of 10 per survey can constrain repeated or extensive questionnaire testing.
Cons: Package prices require a custom quote, making costs harder to assess before contacting sales.
Cons: On-premise deployment also requires a sales conversation, so it is less direct for teams wanting a self-service setup.

Alternatives

SurveyMonkey is worth considering for simple surveys, forms and quizzes; its Basic plan is free but limits each survey to 10 questions and limited responses, unlike SurveyToGo’s interview-package structure.
Appinio is another option for teams considering paid research plans that include multi-country studies and recurring tracking work.
Alida may fit buyers who prefer a fixed subscription model with unlimited surveys, usability tests and research activities and no stated per-participant fees.
1000minds is an option for buyers focused on conjoint analysis or a research platform, with a self-service plan at 3500.00 USD per once for 5,000 participants and a research platform plan at 25000.00 USD per year.
Lighthouse Studio may suit teams seeking a paid survey platform with self-hosted and Windows support and a Premier subscription described as annual.
Intergam is a free alternative.
Askia is another paid suite spanning hosted and self-hosted platforms, with prospective customers invited to request an estimate.
Fuel Cycle is another paid option for web, iOS and Android.

Verdict

SurveyToGo is a strong choice for agencies that need offline interviewing, complex questionnaire logic and centralized control over distributed fieldwork. Its interview packages leave users, devices, surveys and questions unlimited, but the 10-test-interview retention cap and custom pricing deserve attention. Choose it when fieldwork control matters more than a simple self-serve survey workflow; look elsewhere if you need a transparent package price before contacting sales.
