Overview

OGM is an unofficial companion for interactive maps of game worlds, not a game. It is best suited to players who want to organize map progress across multiple playthroughs. Its main appeal is offline access paired with flexible tracking; keeping that progress safe requires cloud sync or a manual export.

Key features

The library brings together dozens of game maps, with new worlds added regularly. Downloaded maps and core data work offline, so OGM can be useful where connectivity is unreliable. Maps must be downloaded or updated online, however, and location screenshots need a connection the first time they load. Players should prepare maps before going offline rather than expect every asset to be ready on demand.

Separate profiles help keep playthroughs distinct. Within them, users can create unlimited tracking categories and follow progress by map region, then add unlimited markers and notes with names, descriptions, icons, and colors. Saved filter presets switch with one touch. That combination suits completion-minded players who want to tailor a map to their own checklist; OGM does not plan routes, so it is not a navigation tool.

The interface is translated into 12 languages. Account-based sync automatically sends progress to Firebase servers, which the site says keep data private to the linked account. Registration is optional: OGM Hub supports offline export and import. Without either cloud sync or a saved export, uninstalling the app permanently deletes progress, making backup an important part of using OGM.

The privacy policy names Google Play Services, AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, and Unity as third-party services. It says commercially acceptable protections are used but does not guarantee absolute security. Players who prefer not to link progress to an account can use manual export, though that means preserving the file themselves.

Pricing

OGM's free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes offline maps, markers, and tracking, with ads. It is the sensible starting point for players who want the core tools without paying. Monthly Premium costs 1.99 USD per month, billed monthly; Yearly Premium costs 7.99 USD per year, billed yearly; and Lifetime Access costs 29.99 USD per once, billed as a one-time purchase. All three remove ads, while the free plan gives up an ad-free experience. The yearly option has a lower stated cost than paying monthly for a full year, while lifetime access avoids recurring billing; neither paid option adds features beyond ad removal in the stated plan details.

Platforms

OGM is available on Android, iOS, and macOS. The App Store listing requires iOS 15 or later and supports macOS 12 or later on Macs with an Apple M1 chip or later. Support is available at sefir.den@gmail.com or +380633887884.

Who it's for

OGM is a good fit for players managing collectibles or other regional objectives across several game runs, especially when downloaded maps need to work offline. It is less suitable for anyone who needs route planning or expects progress to survive an uninstall without taking responsibility for sync or export.

Pros and cons

Pros: Offline maps and core data support play without a connection after download.
Pros: Unlimited categories, region tracking, markers, and notes allow detailed personal progress tracking.
Pros: Profiles separate playthroughs, and saved filter presets make it easier to focus on selected map items.
Cons: New and updated maps require a connection, as does the initial loading of location screenshots.
Cons: Progress is permanently lost on uninstall unless cloud sync or manual export is used.
Cons: Route planning is not supported, and the free plan includes ads.

Alternatives

Interactive Game Maps is a directory for comparing options in this category. Gamer Guides Interactive Maps is worth considering for players who want access to guides, maps, databases, bookmarks, and discussion, with a free plan limited to 50 map markers per map; it supports iOS and web rather than Android or macOS.

LootAtlas is a free alternative on Android, iOS, and web. The Forest Map Companion offers interactive maps and guides on Android, iOS, and web, with full access on paid plans, making it a candidate for players seeking that broader access model. CollectThemAll is another free option, available on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows.

MapGenie is a freemium choice on Android, iOS, and web. Guild Order is a paid option with a free trial and broad platform support for players evaluating a different category of tool. TH.GL offers interactive maps, filters, and live tracking on web, Windows, and as an extension; sign-in is required for cloud-synced filters and marker comments. ClearedMap is web-only and offers maps, markers, checklists, notes, and drawings on its free plan without an account.

Verdict

Choose OGM if you want an offline game-map companion with extensive, customizable progress tracking across separate playthroughs. Its strongest reason to choose it is the breadth of its free tracking tools; its clearest reasons to look elsewhere are the lack of route planning and the need to sync or export progress before uninstalling.
