Overview

Relate brings investor records, active deals, and conversations into a shared pipeline. Teams can build investor lists, comment, tag, and share context, which is useful when several people need to stay aligned as a raise progresses. The product also supports sales, customer success, partnerships, and other processes, so it can serve beyond fundraising.

Investor and deal records are supported, but portfolio tracking is not. Firms looking to compare products across the category can browse Investor Relationship Management Software.

Key features

Email synchronization works with Google, Outlook, or IMAP/SMTP, including self-hosted email services. Relate syncs investor emails in both directions and lets users send from the product, keeping correspondence alongside deal activity. Slack notifications can deliver updates about organizations, deals, and notes to channels or personal messages. Zapier connections extend the CRM to more than 4,000 applications.

Relate Cal supports investor meeting scheduling, including Zoom calls. Taken together, pipeline, email, team collaboration, notifications, and scheduling cover the coordination work around an active raise. The emphasis is on managing relationships and conversations rather than tracking a portfolio after investment.

Pricing

Relate uses a freemium model, with a free plan and paid access from $15/mo; a 7-day trial is offered. The plan details make the free tier the low-commitment option, but its 30-day email and note history is a meaningful constraint: teams that need to revisit older fundraising conversations will have to consider Business.

Plan	Price and terms	What it includes
Team Free	Free	Unlimited contacts, 30-day email and note history, 10 guest invites, and 250 enrichments plus pay-as-you-go.
Team Business	60.00 USD per month, billed per user and billed monthly	Unlimited qualified deals, 50 guest invites, reporting and dashboards, full history, and up to 250 enrichments plus pay-as-you-go.
Enterprise	Custom pricing; billed Contact us	Custom integrations, data warehouse integration, reverse ETL, multi-workspaces, security, and compliance.

Team Free is suited to founders who can work within the short history window and modest guest allowance. Business removes the history cap and adds reporting, but the per-user monthly billing means the cost rises with team size; its guest allowance is 50, while enrichments remain capped at up to 250 before pay-as-you-go. Enterprise is aimed at organizations that need its integration, data, workspace, or security provisions, with custom pricing rather than a published amount.

Platforms

Relate is available on web and as a desktop application for macOS Intel, macOS Apple Silicon, and Windows. Its mobile experience is a progressive web app used through iOS or Android browsers and can be added to a device home screen. Linux is not officially supported, though Relate says it can provide an installer on request.

Who it's for

Relate is a good fit for founders and small teams managing an active raise who want investor activity, email, meetings, and colleague context together. It is less suitable for firms whose central requirement is portfolio tracking, or Linux users who need an officially supported desktop app.

Pros and cons

Pros

Two-way email sync and in-product sending keep investor correspondence close to deal records.
Comments, tags, shared lists, and Slack updates support team coordination around investor activity.
Relate Cal and Zoom meeting support add scheduling to the same fundraising workflow.
The free plan allows unlimited contacts, making it practical to build a broad investor list before paying.

Cons

Free email and note history lasts only 30 days, limiting its usefulness for reviewing older conversations.
Business is billed per user, so its 60.00 USD per month price can scale with the team.
Portfolio tracking is not included, leaving that need unmet within this product.
Linux is not officially supported.

Alternatives

Choose Clienteer if its paid offering or its broad platform availability, including self-hosted access, better fits your requirements. Juniper Square is another paid option available on Android, iOS, API, and web.

4Degrees is worth considering if you prefer a paid, per-user-per-month option with pricing by request. DealCloud is a paid alternative whose enterprise offering requires contacting an Intapp representative for detailed pricing. Dynamo CRM & Deal Management is paid and provides ballpark pricing via demo request.

Edda is paid with no free plan, and offers Premium and Enterprise plans with different user and pipeline or credit provisions. Finta is a paid option with a free trial; its Finta plan is 200.00 USD per month on a 12-month relationship, billed monthly, and includes 2,000 credits per month, the full platform, and unlimited members. orydio is another paid alternative, designed, built, and operated by dynaxio AG, an operating company of New Ventures Group AG.

Verdict

Founders who need a shared place to track investors, fundraising conversations, and meeting coordination should shortlist Relate, especially if they can start on Team Free and tolerate its 30-day history. Look elsewhere if long-term history without a per-user Business plan or portfolio tracking is central to the decision.
