Overview

Mixdesk combines a unified social inbox with comment management, team assignment and reply automation. Supported channels include WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok Business, LINE, Telegram, web chat, in-app messaging through an SDK and email. That range can help teams coordinate customer conversations in one place, though the separate provider fees for some channels add to the cost of operating them.

The company behind Mixdesk is Beautiful Interaction International Co., Limited, headquartered in Hong Kong. It was founded in 2014, and the company says its global Mixdesk brand launched in 2024.

Key features

Routing and automation

Teams can route conversations to a team, an individual agent or an AI Agent, and automate follow-ups, broadcasts and team workflows. This gives operations with different enquiry types room to build distinct paths; teams that need only a basic shared inbox may have less reason to choose a platform with this breadth.

AI agents and translation

AI Agents can answer from approved knowledge, qualify leads and take configured actions before handing a conversation to a person with context. Mixdesk says its AI can understand and reply in 27+ languages, with real-time two-way translation—a useful combination for teams serving customers across language boundaries. AI messages have their own monthly quotas, separate from conversation limits, so the higher-tier capacity matters for teams expecting to automate at scale.

Integrations, support and data handling

Coze and Dify integrations sit alongside open APIs, SDKs and webhooks for connecting websites, apps and internal systems. Mixdesk lists onboarding, workflow guidance, product training and ongoing support for complex deployments. Enterprise capabilities include private deployment options, a dedicated delivery and onboarding team, 24/7 priority support and SLAs.

The privacy policy says Mixdesk uses encryption, anonymization, access controls and security audits to protect user information. It also says conversation content used in features powered by OpenAI GPT may be sent to OpenAI for processing after the user gives explicit consent. Teams should account for that data flow when deciding whether to enable those features.

Pricing

All plans include unlimited teammates and have no per-seat fee, which makes the pricing structure easier to scale across larger teams. AI messages and conversations are separate meters, and third-party channel fees such as WhatsApp charges are billed by the providers, not included in Mixdesk’s plan prices.

Plan	Price	Included limits	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free	10 conversations, 10 connected channel accounts, 100 translation characters, no AI messages	Evaluation or very low-volume use; the conversation and translation caps constrain ongoing work.
Essential	49.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Unlimited conversations, 10 connected channel accounts, 10K translation characters, no AI messages	Teams needing unlimited conversations without AI replies; it retains the Free plan’s channel-account ceiling.
Pro	199.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Unlimited conversations, 5,000 AI messages/month, 20 connected channel accounts, 100K translation characters	Teams ready to use AI agents and manage a broader set of connected accounts.
Expert	Custom pricing	Unlimited conversations, 30,000 AI messages/month, custom connected channel accounts, 500K translation characters	Higher-volume or enterprise deployments needing larger quotas and custom account capacity.

The Free plan includes a free trial, but its published caps make it more suitable for trying the workflow than for sustained conversation handling. Essential removes the conversation cap but provides no AI messages, while Pro is the first tier with an AI message allowance. Expert raises that allowance to 30,000 monthly and supports custom connected-account counts, with custom pricing.

Platforms

Mixdesk is available on Android, iOS and web, and also provides an API. Mobile availability is useful for teams that need access away from a desktop, while the API supports connections to other systems.

Who it's for

Mixdesk is a strong candidate for global sales, support and ecommerce teams that need to bring several messaging channels together, route work deliberately and support customers across languages. Its unlimited-teammate plans also suit organizations that want to avoid per-seat pricing. Smaller teams with low volumes can start free, but the caps are restrictive; teams needing AI replies should budget for Pro or Expert, and consider the separate AI and channel costs.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad channel coverage across social messaging, web chat, in-app messaging and email reduces the need to manage each channel in isolation.
Pros: Unlimited teammates on every plan avoids per-seat charges as a team grows.
Pros: AI qualification, configured actions, contextual handoff and 27+ language support address both lead handling and multilingual service.
Cons: Free allows only 10 conversations and 100 translation characters, making it a narrow ongoing-use option.
Cons: Free and Essential include no AI messages; the first AI allowance is on Pro at 5,000 per month.
Cons: Provider charges for channels such as WhatsApp are separate, so the plan price is not the full channel operating cost.

Alternatives

Sendiee Teambox is worth considering if a one-channel setup and one AI assistant are enough: its Free plan allows 1,000 contacts and 1,000 conversations per month, but is limited to one team member. Soclo is a social-publishing alternative with a free plan that connects accounts and allows manual publishing, but provides 0 monthly credits. Upcellia offers a free option capped at one channel, one user and 100 conversations monthly, with no AI agents or automations—potentially a fit for a single-user, low-volume inbox.

Desku AI Chatbot Builder has a free plan with two agents and one inbox, making it an option to compare for a narrower chatbot setup. Medal Social Inbox is a paid choice for social teams; its Creator plan is 129.00 USD per month and includes two team members, 13+ social channels and 25 AI messages per day. Pancake is another option for teams comparing multi-platform conversation tools.

Respond.io is a paid alternative with a Starter plan at 79.00 USD per month, five users, unlimited monthly active contacts and 5,000 AI credits. NapoleonCat is a paid social-focused alternative; its Standard plan is 89.00 USD per month for two users and five social profiles. Verdict

Choose Mixdesk if your sales, support or ecommerce team needs a shared workspace for many customer channels, multilingual conversations and flexible routing without per-teammate fees. Its strongest case is the combination of broad channel coverage and AI-assisted handling; look elsewhere if you need substantial AI usage at a lower tier or want channel fees bundled into the subscription.
