Overview

PushFar is mentoring and career-progression software for organisations, with a separate open mentoring network for individuals. It is best suited to employers, educational institutions and professional organisations that want to shape and manage a structured programme. The individual network also gives people a free way to seek a mentor, offer mentorship, or do both.

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, PushFar serves HR and learning and development teams as well as businesses and educational institutions. Its organisational platform combines programme design, participant tools and reporting, with several ways to create matches. That breadth is useful for organisations with different programme needs, but the platform’s custom pricing and required demo make it less straightforward to assess than its free individual network.

For broader comparisons, see Mentoring Software and, for adjacent workforce tools, Talent Marketplace Software.

Key features

Programme design and matching

Administrators can customise branding, questions, approvals, settings and matching rules. Matching can be AI-assisted, administrator-led or left to participant self-selection. This gives programme owners control over how structured the process is, while templates and matching workflows can help establish a repeatable approach. Organisations that do not need to adapt the process may have little reason to value that range.

Participant tools and reporting

Participants can set goals, schedule meetings, exchange private messages and use built-in video calling. Reporting covers mentoring activity, goals, meetings, feedback and surveys, giving administrators several measures to review rather than limiting oversight to match counts. These tools make PushFar a more complete programme environment than a directory for finding mentors alone.

Integrations, access and support

PushFar documents SSO, calendar syncing, and Microsoft Teams and Zoom integrations. Other systems, including Workday, can be connected through an account manager. Organisations can invite participants through unique registration links, SSO, CSV files or APIs, offering multiple routes for onboarding. The maker describes GDPR controls, role-based access and two-factor authentication for the administration panel; organisational customers also receive account-based support, onboarding, training and ongoing customer success services.

PushFar says its programmes can scale from teams of 50 to 50,000, with centralised administration and cohort management. That makes it relevant to both team-level initiatives and larger rollouts, though its custom-priced organisational offer means buyers will need to discuss fit and cost directly.

Pricing

Open mentoring network

The Open mentoring network costs 0.00 USD per free. It is for individuals who want to find a mentor, become a mentor, or do both. This is the clearest entry point for people seeking mentoring personally, rather than an organisational programme.

Organisational mentoring platform

The Organisational mentoring platform has custom pricing, with a demo required. It is aimed at organisations that need programme administration, matching, reporting and customer support. Because it is not a published fixed-price plan, it is harder to compare costs upfront with a set-rate alternative.

Platforms

PushFar supports web, Android, iOS and API access. Its iOS and Android apps extend access to mobile users, while API support and documented integrations provide options for organisational systems and workflows.

Who it's for

PushFar is a strong fit for businesses, educational institutions and professional organisations that need control over matching and programme configuration, plus reporting and support as participation grows. Its free network suits individuals exploring mentoring independently. Organisations looking for a fixed public price or a simpler, less configurable programme should compare other options before committing to a demo.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple matching approaches let administrators balance algorithmic assistance, control and participant choice.
Pros: Goal-setting, meeting scheduling, private messaging, video calling and reporting bring core programme activity into one platform.
Pros: SSO, CSV, API and registration-link invitations support different onboarding approaches.
Pros: Individuals can use the open network for free to seek or provide mentorship.
Cons: Organisational pricing requires a request and demo, so buyers cannot compare a standard platform price upfront.
Cons: The organisational feature set and support are directed at managed programmes; individuals seeking only a mentor can use the free network instead.

Alternatives

Mentorloop is worth considering for non-profits and community groups seeking a simple mentoring programme with a selection of program themes; its Pro plan starts at 299.00 USD per month, and it also has a free plan.

MentorCity is a freemium alternative with web, Android, iOS and API platforms. Its Standard plan includes a dedicated account manager, messaging and file sharing, meetings and availability, video conferencing, goals and mentoring agreements, and surveys.

Qooper offers paid custom pricing based on programme scope, participant volume and organisational requirements, making it an option for buyers who want a quote shaped around those factors.

Together prices custom solutions according to learner numbers, match types and programme goals, charges for actively matched users participating, and includes implementation and support.

Chronus is a paid alternative without a free plan. Its Unleash Performance plan supports up to 1,000 licenses and unlimited programs, with Culture & Community Building as an add-on.

MentorcliQ has a paid CliQ Start plan at 9900.00 USD per year, starting at that price for 100 employees per year; it may suit buyers who prefer a published starting annual price.

Mentoring Complete is another paid mentoring option for web, iOS and Android.

Affirmity Employment Law Navigator is a paid, web-based option with pricing by request and a demo available.

Verdict

PushFar is best for organisations that want adaptable mentoring programme management, a choice of matching methods, and participant tools and reporting in one service. Its free network is a straightforward choice for individuals seeking or offering mentorship. The main reason to look elsewhere as an organisational buyer is cost transparency: the platform requires a request and demo before pricing can be assessed.
