Overview

Moxion combines AI GIF creation with tools for adjusting and converting finished files, all in a browser. It is best suited to people making short visual assets for social channels, stores, or ads, especially when they need more than one format.

Its range of inputs and editing tools is useful, but the free tier is a narrow preview rather than a sustainable production option: GIF and video generation share one watermarked, two-second 480p result per day. Anyone needing regular output will need to budget for credits or a subscription.

Key features

Multiple starting points: Text-to-GIF, Image-to-GIF, and Video-to-GIF let users create from a prompt or existing material. Image uploads accept JPG, PNG, or WebP files up to 10MB.
Practical GIF finishing: Compression, resizing, cropping, and GIF-to-MP4 conversion help adapt assets beyond the initial generation. That makes Moxion more useful for repurposing work than a generator with no editing tools.
Video generation: Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video default to 1080p, but produce no audio. The tools suit silent visual clips, not a complete video production workflow.
Duration and quality: Pro GIF access supports clips from 4 to 15 seconds, while Moxion presents Free, Standard, and Pro quality tiers. The daily free generation is limited to two seconds at 480p, so longer work requires paid access.
Reusable assets: Active subscriptions include Brand Kits, reusable workflows, one-click multi-channel asset sets, and eligible GIF finishing and adapted exports at zero Credits. Those workflow benefits are relevant to recurring campaign work, but unavailable to one-time pack buyers.
Preview and failed jobs: The single daily free Quick Preview is shared between GIF and video and is watermarked. Reserved Credits are returned if AI generation fails, reducing the risk of losing paid credits to an unsuccessful run.
Browser-only access: Moxion runs in a browser and has no native app or downloadable desktop or mobile software. It supports Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows through the browser, but users seeking dedicated installed software should look elsewhere.

Pricing

Moxion has a free tier and several paid routes, with paid access starting at $9. The main choice is between subscriptions, which add monthly credits and workflow features, and one-time packs, whose credits do not expire.

Plan	Price	What it includes and who it suits
Free	0.00 USD per free	Basic GIF tools, 150 gifted Credits, and one shared AI generation per day at 480p with a watermark. Good for occasional previews, but the shared cap and short output constrain regular work.
Starter Pack	9.00 USD per month	1,000 Credits, described as about 10 Standard four-second GIFs. Credits never expire, making it a low-cost option for intermittent GIF creation; it does not include the subscription workflow benefits.
Boost Pack	9.00 USD per once	1,000 Credits, no subscription, and credits never expire. It suits occasional paid use without a recurring commitment, but provides no monthly credit allocation or subscription benefits.
Creator Pack	29.00 USD per once	4,000 Credits, estimated at about 20 short 1080p videos or 40 Standard GIFs. A fit for users wanting a larger credit balance without a subscription; credits do not expire.
Studio Pack	79.00 USD per once	12,000 Credits, estimated at about 60 short 1080p videos or 120 Standard GIFs. This is the largest one-time option for heavier but non-recurring use, with no subscription workflow benefits.
Starter	19.00 USD per month	2,000 monthly Credits, about 10 short video clips or 20 Standard GIFs per month, eligible GIF finishing and adapted exports at zero Credits, Brand Kits, and no watermark during the subscription. Best for ongoing work that benefits from reusable assets; unused subscription Credits do not roll over.
Pro	49.00 USD per month	6,000 monthly Credits, Pro GIF access, about 30 short video clips or 60 Standard GIFs per month, Brand Kits, and no watermark during the subscription. It is the choice for higher-volume use or Pro-duration GIFs; generation consumes monthly Credits, which do not roll over.

A trial provides one use of Pro access within seven days, so it offers a single evaluation opportunity rather than a longer period of unrestricted use. Purchased Credits never expire, unlike unused subscription Credits. Watermark-free exports are available with active subscriptions; the free generation remains watermarked.

Platforms

Moxion is a browser workflow that runs on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows, rather than a native app on those platforms. That keeps the tool accessible across devices but means there is no installed version for offline or app-based use.

Who it's for

Moxion makes the most sense for creators, marketers, educators, and hobbyists who need short GIFs or silent video clips and want built-in tools to resize, crop, compress, or convert them. Subscription features are particularly relevant to teams or individuals producing repeat assets across channels. It is less suited to people who need frequent free generation, audio in generated videos, or native software.

Pros and cons

Pro: Text, image, and video inputs plus editing and conversion tools cover a broader GIF workflow than generation alone.
Pro: One-time credit packs do not expire, offering a paid route for occasional use without subscription renewal.
Pro: Subscriptions add Brand Kits and reusable assets, while eligible finishing and adapted exports cost zero Credits.
Con: Free users share one daily generation across GIF and video, capped at two seconds, 480p, and a watermark.
Con: Subscription Credits expire at the end of their cycle rather than rolling over, making the monthly plans a weaker fit for sporadic workloads.
Con: Video generation has no audio, and browser-only delivery rules out native app or download workflows.

Alternatives

AI GIF Makers is the broader category page for comparing tools in this space.

Imgflip GIF Maker is worth considering if you prefer a free plan with stated video and image frame allowances and support for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows.
GifCraft is a free option for users who value no account, no watermark, and no export limit, though its AI generator is limited to a few images per hour.
GIPHY Create is another free browser option for Android, iOS, and web.
GifGen is a paid alternative for Android and web, with a Creator plan at 9.99 EUR per month and a one-time purchase option.
GifRun is a browser alternative with a free account offering up to 20 seconds at 600px maximum resolution, with a watermark.
Hagif suits users seeking local single-file tools without a required account or watermark; its Power Pass is 4.99 USD per month for 24-hour access with no auto-renewal.
Photo2GIF offers a free first AI vintage GIF and classic effects, but its free output carries a watermark.
Rewind.ai AI GIF Generator is a web alternative with a free allowance of 5,000 tokens per day.

Verdict

Moxion is a strong fit for people who need AI-assisted GIF creation, practical finishing tools, and repeatable campaign assets in one browser workflow. Its one-time packs are appealing for occasional paid use, while subscriptions add the Brand Kits and no-watermark output that recurring work benefits from. Look elsewhere if the daily free cap is all you can use, you need audio in generated video, or you want native software.
