Overview

Loyverse brings restaurant service, stock control, employee tools and customer records into a mobile POS suite. It is best suited to small restaurants that need table tickets and kitchen routing alongside basic inventory and loyalty. Its free tier is unusually broad for core operations, but longer sales reporting and deeper staff or stock tools raise the cost.

Key features

Orders and menus

Open tickets can be assigned to tables, split, merged or moved between tickets. Custom menu categories and item modifiers accommodate menu variations, while dine-in, takeout and delivery labels distinguish service types. These cover useful in-house workflows, but the listed order channels identify table service rather than a broader ordering setup.

Kitchen workflow

Orders can be routed to kitchen displays or printers with item details, quantities, modifiers and comments. Keeping preparation instructions with the ticket helps staff pass customized orders to the kitchen without separating those details from the items.

Inventory, loyalty and connections

Inventory tools include purchase orders, composite items for prepared goods and ingredients, transfers between locations, stock counts and corrections. Points-based rewards and customer notes support repeat-business programs and recorded preferences. Integrations include QuickBooks Online, Xero, WooCommerce, Shopify and Otter, while the API supports connections for sales analytics, accounting, orders, items and inventory, customers and e-invoicing.

Offline use and support

Loyverse supports offline mode and employee permissions, useful for businesses that need those capabilities in their POS operations. The company says live-chat support is available 24/7, with help articles also provided. Loyverse Payments describes transactions as processed through PCI-compliant infrastructure.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes POS, sales reports for the last 31 days, essential inventory, loyalty, customer and kitchen displays, multi-store management and integrations. That is a substantial starting point for a small operator, but the 31-day reporting window is a real constraint for businesses that need longer comparisons or exports.

Loyverse POS has no listed price and includes 31 days of sales history. The Unlimited sales history add-on costs 5.00 USD per month, billed at $5/month per store or $50/year per store, and unlocks reports beyond the last 31 days. Employee management costs 25.00 USD per month, billed at $25/month per store or $250/year per store, for team performance, permissions and hours worked. Advanced inventory also costs 25.00 USD per month, billed at $25/month per store or $250/year per store, adding purchase orders, stock transfers and deeper inventory insights.

The stated paid starting price is $5/mo, and a 14-day trial is offered. The lower-cost add-on addresses only reporting history; businesses needing staff management or expanded inventory should budget for separate $25/month-per-store add-ons. The listed free-plan bundle already includes essential inventory and permissions, so the paid upgrades are most relevant when those basic capabilities no longer suffice.

Platforms

Loyverse is available on Android, iOS, web and API. Offline mode is supported, and iOS is identified for hardware platforms.

Who it's for

Loyverse is a practical fit for small restaurants that want table tickets, kitchen handoff, customer loyalty and essential stock management without an initial subscription. Multi-store management and integrations extend that appeal for merchants connecting POS work with other business services. It is less compelling for operators who require sales history beyond 31 days, employee management or advanced inventory without paying for add-ons.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan combines POS, essential inventory, loyalty, kitchen and customer displays, multi-store management and integrations, reducing the need to pay just to cover core workflows.
Pro: Table tickets can be split, merged and reassigned, and kitchen tickets carry modifiers and comments through to preparation.
Pro: Offline mode and employee permissions cover two operational needs without requiring a stated paid add-on.
Con: Free sales reports stop at 31 days; longer viewing and exporting requires a per-store subscription.
Con: Employee management and advanced inventory each cost $25/month per store, which can make a free starting point materially more expensive as requirements grow.

Cegid Retail is another paid option with pricing available by demo request.

Verdict

Choose Loyverse if you run a small restaurant and want table ordering, kitchen routing, loyalty and essential inventory in a free POS package. Its central advantage is the range of core functions available before subscribing; its clearest reason to look elsewhere is the added per-store cost once reporting, employee management or inventory needs exceed the free tier.
