Overview

LoginTC is a multi-factor authentication platform for organizations that need a second check when people access applications and systems. It is best suited to teams connecting MFA to existing enterprise access systems or operating across cloud, on-premises, hybrid or air-gapped environments. Its range of factors is a strength, but the paid plans’ 15-user minimum rules it out for many very small teams.

Founded in 2011, LoginTC is based in Kanata, Ontario, and says it serves customers from small businesses to large enterprises, including healthcare, finance and government. It has been ISO 27001 certified since 2023.

Key features

LoginTC supports push notifications, number matching, authenticator apps and software OTP, as well as hardware-token OTP, security keys, email and SMS passcodes, phone calls, passcode grids and bypass codes. That variety gives administrators options for users with different devices and access needs. Offline authentication, including offline QR scanning, is a Business-plan capability, so teams needing that fallback must step up from the lower-cost cloud tiers.

Connectors cover RADIUS VPN and remote access, Active Directory/LDAP, Outlook Web App, RD Web Access, ADFS, Windows Logon and RDP, and Entra ID EAM for Office 365. Integration methods also include SAML/SSO, iframe authentication and REST API. The API can administer users, tokens and domain membership, and send or check authentication sessions, but it is for LoginTC Cloud deployments only. Adaptive access policies, passwordless authentication and device trust controls add options for shaping access beyond a basic second-factor prompt.

Organizations can choose cloud or on-premises plans, with hybrid and air-gapped deployments also described. That flexibility is useful where infrastructure or network constraints dictate deployment, while standard support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM EST; critical issues receive 24/7/365 support.

Pricing

Cloud Starter is free for up to 3 users and includes VPN and firewall protection plus push authentication. It is a practical way for a very small team to cover a limited access setup, but the three-user ceiling makes it unsuitable as a growing organization’s lasting tier.

Cloud Professional costs 3.00 USD per month, billed annually, and Cloud Business costs 5.00 USD per month, billed annually. Both require at least 15 users, with licenses added in bundles of five. Business is the relevant step up for organizations needing its listed offline authentication; Professional is the lower-cost paid option when those Business capabilities are not required. On-Premises Managed costs 7.00 USD per month, billed annually, and suits organizations that need an on-premises deployment rather than cloud service. Every paid plan’s minimum seat count and annual term make it a poor fit for individuals or small groups below 15 users, and licenses cannot be added one at a time.

A 15-day trial provides access to Business features and does not require a credit card. That gives teams a way to assess the fuller feature set before committing, though paid subscriptions are annual.

Platforms

LoginTC supports Android, iOS, web, Windows, browser extensions, APIs and self-hosted deployments. This breadth makes it relevant to organizations securing a mix of user devices and systems, rather than only mobile sign-ins.

Who it's for

LoginTC is strongest for organizations with established access infrastructure, several authentication needs, or deployment constraints that make cloud-only MFA unsuitable. The connectors and deployment choices serve enterprise environments, while the free three-user tier gives a small team a limited starting point. Teams needing paid access for fewer than 15 users, or a nonannual subscription, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: A broad set of authentication factors, including offline authentication in Business, can accommodate different user devices and access conditions.
Pro: Connectors for RADIUS, directory services, Windows access and Microsoft environments reduce the need to build every integration from scratch.
Pro: Cloud, on-premises, hybrid and air-gapped deployment options suit organizations with varied infrastructure requirements.
Con: The free tier stops at three users, while every paid plan starts at 15 users and bills annually.
Con: REST API support applies only to cloud deployments, limiting its use for organizations relying on self-hosted installations.

Alternatives

For a different modular enterprise access approach, consider Imprivata Enterprise Access Management: Core Access is required for every deployment and add-on modules vary by workflow.

Secret Double Octopus offers a Starter plan for cloud and web applications, VPN and VDI, and an Enterprise plan for workforce passwordless MFA across desktops.

PingID is a paid option whose PingOne for Workforce Essential plan requires an annual contract and a 5,000-user minimum, making it a fit only for much larger deployments than LoginTC’s paid minimum.

HYPR Authenticate has a free plan and a monthly-billed $3.00 USD Identity Assurance Access plan for web access and phishing-resistant onboarding; consider it when those needs and monthly billing suit better.

LinOTP is a free, open-source alternative under AGPLv3 and GPLv2, suited to readers seeking that licensing model.

Deepnet DualShield MFA Platform is an alternative with on-premises or private-cloud deployment available by quote.

miniOrange Multi-Factor Authentication has a free tier and an Essential plan priced at 2.00 USD per month, making it worth comparing for readers prioritizing a lower stated entry price.

Pointsharp MFA is another MFA option for web, Windows, iOS and Android.

For broader comparisons, browse Multi-Factor Authentication Software or Authenticator apps.

Verdict

Choose LoginTC if your organization needs broad factor support, established access-system connectors and deployment flexibility, especially beyond a standard cloud setup. Its free tier is useful for up to three users, but the 15-user minimum and annual billing make paid plans a poor match for smaller teams or anyone who needs a shorter commitment.
