Overview

Instant Measure Reports return roof area, pitch, waste factor, recommended squares and a 3D view in about five seconds. Contractors can save results in the dashboard or export PDFs for homeowners, making the reports practical for both estimating and customer conversations. The company says instant measurements cover any address in the USA.

The wider product includes estimates, CRM, scheduling, quoting and payments. Contractors can add a roof calculator, contact form and online scheduler to their own websites, connecting lead intake with job workflows. The mobile app supports measurements, a pitch tool, and job photo and video capture with AI tagging. This breadth is useful for contractors who want several functions in one service; buyers who only need measurement reports may not need the full bundle.

Key features

Measurement choices: Unlimited basic measurements cost nothing, while premium report details require Premium. For cases needing human review, a trained analyst can certify a report, typically in about an hour, for $10 per report.
Contractor workflow: Estimate building, scheduling, CRM, quoting, invoicing and payments address work beyond measurement. Website forms and scheduling tools can help capture inquiries, while saved reports and PDF exports support homeowner-facing estimates.
Integrations and API: The maker describes CRM integration through Zapier, plus QuickBooks sync and Stripe checkout for payment processing. The API provides AI and human-certified reports for developers and platforms such as CRMs, estimating tools and inspection software.
Lead and transaction costs: Roofing leads start at $30 per lead. Payment processing is $4.99 per transaction, with no monthly payment-processing fees, so costs rise with lead purchases or processed transactions rather than a recurring processing charge.

Pricing

Instant Roofer uses a freemium model, with a free trial for its paid bundle. Free measurements cost 0.00 USD per free and include unlimited basic measurements, but premium report details require Premium. This is the sensible entry point for contractors who need occasional measurements and can work without the premium details.

Human Certified Measure Report costs 10.00 USD per once, billed per report. It adds review by trained analysts, typically in about one hour, and suits jobs where a certified human review is worth paying for instead of relying on the basic result.

AI Tool Bundle costs 199.00 USD per month after a 7-day free trial. It includes unlimited measurements and unlimited staff, but requires one subscription per office location. That structure can suit an office with multiple users; businesses with several locations should factor in a separate subscription for each.

Instant AI Measure API costs 321.00 USD per once, billed per address, with pay-as-you-go volume pricing: $3 for 0–199/month, $2 for 200–999/month, and $1 for 1,000+ addresses/month. The per-address tiers favor higher-volume API users; the API is aimed at developers and software providers rather than a contractor looking only for a dashboard.

Platforms

Instant Roofer supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The mobile app’s measurement and job-capture tools suit work in the field, while the API supports integration into other software.

Who it's for

Roofing contractors who want measurements, estimates and job workflow tools under one roof should consider Instant Roofer, particularly if unlimited basic measurements are enough to start. Its API also fits developers building roofing-related software. It is less compelling for a business that only needs a simple, occasional measurement if premium details or the $199 monthly bundle would go unused.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited basic measurements at no charge lower the barrier to trying the measurement workflow.
Pro: The product combines reports with estimating, scheduling, website intake and payment capabilities, which can reduce the need to assemble separate tools.
Pro: A $10 per-report human-certified option gives buyers a paid alternative to the monthly bundle when they need analyst review on selected jobs.
Con: Premium report details are not part of the free measurement tier, so users needing them must pay per report or choose a Premium option.
Con: The $199 monthly bundle is charged per office location, which can raise costs for multi-office businesses.
Con: Instant Roofer does not always verify contractors’ licensing, insurance or code compliance in every state, a meaningful caveat for customers choosing a contractor through its tools.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, see Roofing Software. ProLine is an option for teams seeking a freemium product with a GOOD plan at 497.00 USD per month that includes three seats, production management, quotes, payments and invoicing, calling and texting, automations, integrations and Zapier.

Business Pilot may suit service engineers and installers who want a site license priced at 10.00 USD per month, invoiced quarterly in advance. Centerpoint Connect is a paid option for sales, service and production workflows, with Scale It priced at $50 per field user and $100 per office user, plus a $7,499 one-time full implementation.

Leap is worth comparing for a single-user setup: its Essential plan costs 79.00 USD per month on a one-year contract paid monthly and limits the account to one user and five digital signatures. Roof Manager offers a free trial with two full reports and no credit card, plus CRM, invoicing and proposals; it is a fit for buyers focused on testing report-led workflows.

HiveSuite is a paid alternative with a Solo plan at 34.99 GBP per month, including VAT, for one admin and two crew, with a yearly option at £349 per year including VAT. JobNimbus is another paid option, with Essentials for up to three users and three project boards. GiddyUp is another paid alternative for web and mobile.

Verdict

Instant Roofer is a strong fit for roofing contractors who want free basic measurements and the option to expand into estimating, scheduling and payments, or for developers integrating roofing reports through an API. Its main advantage is the span from measurement to workflow tools; look elsewhere if premium report details are essential but the per-report and per-office costs do not suit your operation. Before relying on contractor listings, account for the fact that licensing, insurance and code compliance are not always verified in every state.
