Overview

Founded in 2010 in Mississauga, Ontario, GoFleet aims to help fleets reduce vehicle downtime and operate more safely and efficiently. Its web platform provides real-time visibility across vehicles and customer services, with reporting intended to streamline workflows and inform decisions.

GoFleet reaches well beyond location tracking, bringing together tools for vehicle health, routing, dispatch, maintenance, electronic logging, data storage and asset monitoring. That breadth can suit operators trying to manage several fleet functions in one environment; fleets seeking only a simple tracker may find the scope harder to justify, particularly with pricing set by quote.

Key features

Tracking, diagnostics and safety

GoFleet describes its GPS tracking as real-time and says it is used for 3.5 million vehicles globally. The platform also covers diagnostics, driver-behaviour insights and sensor monitoring. Safety metrics, configurable alerts, collision-avoidance features and driver coaching give managers ways to monitor risk and guide drivers, while integrated dash cameras provide high-definition footage review and saved clips for training or incident analysis.

Its cloud telematics platform combines AI, advanced driver-assistance systems and Face AI for fleet safety, efficiency and sustainability. These capabilities make GoFleet relevant to organizations looking to connect vehicle data and driver oversight, though the breadth of the offering means buyers should identify which tools and hardware their operations actually require.

Dispatch, compliance and assets

Mobile Dispatch gives drivers a direct workflow for receiving jobs, changing job status and capturing signatures and photos as delivery proof. Drivers can download the app by SMS and sign in with a mobile phone number, a practical approach for delivery operations that need status updates and evidence from the field.

GoFleet's ELD solutions automate driver and back-office time tracking, reporting and compliance management. Asset tracking and temperature monitoring are designed to reduce monitoring costs and support product-quality standards, making those tools relevant to fleets handling temperature-sensitive goods. For indoor asset location, its proprietary BLE solution states positioning accuracy of 50 cm.

Integration and security

An SDK supports custom functions, phone and tablet apps, third-party software and custom reports, alongside hardware integrations through the broader ecosystem. The public API permits 150 requests per minute; requests above that threshold trigger a 429 response. That limit is a concrete planning constraint for high-volume integrations, even though API access is part of the offering.

GoFleet describes device safeguards including encryption, authenticated end-to-end telematics security, message-integrity verification, non-static keys and digitally signed firmware. Its GO9 RUGGED tracker is described as FIPS 140-2 validated by NIST and IP68 and IP69K certified. For personal information, the company says website data is SSL-encrypted and access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis; data is stored on North American cloud servers and may also be stored in other countries.

Pricing

GoFleet is paid software with custom pricing. Its customized-pricing plan is pay-for-what-you-use, and an estimate requires contacting GoFleet. That structure may suit fleets whose vehicle, asset or hardware needs do not fit a fixed package, but it gives buyers no published price for comparing likely costs in advance.

A free trial is offered. No seat allowance, usage quota, trial length or renewal term is stated, so buyers should confirm those terms along with hardware and service costs when requesting a quote. GoFleet lists phone support, email and live chat; Mobile Dispatch users also receive installation assistance, troubleshooting and ongoing technical support.

Platforms

GoFleet supports Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows, as well as API access. Mobile Dispatch is particularly relevant to drivers using phones in the field, while the web platform provides fleet visibility and reporting for operations teams.

Who it's for

GoFleet targets fleets in construction, government, waste management, airports, emergency response, transportation, forestry, agriculture, food and beverage, school transportation, healthcare, delivery, oil and gas, and public transportation. Its combination of vehicle tracking, compliance, dispatch, safety and asset monitoring is most compelling for operators managing varied fleet workflows or sensitive assets. A smaller operation needing only basic location tracking may prefer a more narrowly scoped service with a clearly published per-vehicle price.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines live tracking, diagnostics, driver insights, ELD and sensor monitoring, reducing the need to approach fleet management as a single-purpose tracking problem.
Pros: Mobile Dispatch supports job updates and signature- and photo-based proof of delivery, with phone-number login and SMS app downloads for drivers.
Pros: SDK and hardware integrations support custom apps, reports and connections to third-party software and equipment.
Cons: Custom pricing requires a quote, which makes upfront cost comparisons difficult.
Cons: The public API's 150-request-per-minute ceiling can constrain integrations that generate high request volume.
Cons: Personal information may be stored outside North America as well as on North American cloud servers, a point for organizations with strict data-location requirements to weigh.

Alternatives

Fleet Telematics Software is the category list for readers comparing fleet telematics options more broadly.

GPSWOX is worth considering for buyers who want a free plan or a low published entry price: its Light plan is 2.99 USD per month, billed paid yearly, for 1 object, and its Basic plan is 9.97 USD per month, billed paid yearly, for 1–5 objects.

Titan GPS is another quote-based fleet-management option, with pricing determined by fleet size and selected features.

Traccar may fit buyers who prefer a freemium service with self-hosted platform support; its Tracking Account costs 9.95 USD per month for a single user account on a shared server, with a selected device limit and default server configuration.

RAM Tracking may suit a buyer who wants a published per-vehicle plan: Lite costs 7.99 GBP per month per vehicle and includes 2-minute GPS updates, desktop-only tracking, three months of reporting history, cloud software and fleet reminders.

ClearPathGPS is an alternative with a Standard plan that includes real-time fleet visibility, virtual geofences, a basic report library and U.S.-based support; a vehicle dash cam is an additional $30/month.

FleetGO uses quote-based pricing, with its TMS Software charging according to vehicles deployed during a month.

Linxup offers GPS vehicle tracking for 25.00 USD per month per vehicle at the standard service price; hardware cost varies by device and contract, with volume and bundle pricing available.

One Step GPS may suit fleets prioritizing frequent updates and a published device price: GPS Tracking costs 13.95 USD per month per device, plus a $20 one-time activation, and includes 1–30 second updates, 27+ alerts, 30+ reports, unlimited users and three years of data.

Verdict

GoFleet is a strong candidate for fleets that need tracking alongside dispatch, safety, compliance or asset-monitoring tools, especially when custom integrations matter. Its principal trade-offs are quote-only pricing and an API request limit that may matter to high-volume integrations. Choose it when the combined fleet-management scope fits your operation; look elsewhere if predictable published pricing or a higher API request ceiling is essential.
