Overview

GloriaFood is an online ordering and reservation system for restaurants, coffee shops, and food trucks. It is a strong fit for operators who want to start taking orders across several channels without per-order commission; the scheduled April 30, 2027 end of life makes it a short-horizon choice rather than a sound base for a long-term rollout.

Founded in 2013 in Bucharest, GloriaFood was acquired by Oracle in 2021. The maker says it will support existing customers through the end-of-life date, but that deadline should weigh heavily for any business planning a system migration or new multi-year commitment.

Key features

Ordering and reservations

The free service plan covers website and mobile ordering, delivery, takeaway, dine-in, scheduled orders, table reservations, QR ordering, reports, promotions, and third-party integrations. Smart ordering links can be shared through Google Business Profile, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. For a small operator, that breadth can put ordering within reach of customers across existing channels without buying a separate service for each one.

The iOS and Android order-taking app lets staff accept orders and bookings, mark items out of stock, pause service, and print accepted orders to a thermal printer. Those shift-level controls help when menu availability or capacity changes. They are useful operational support, though they do not alter the larger concern that the product has a fixed end date.

Integrations, APIs, and payments

GloriaFood lists POS integrations including Clover, Focus, Wolt, and Lightspeed, plus delivery management services such as Shipday. Its Food Order API returns order details after a manager accepts an order, while the menu API supplies the latest menu to third-party systems. These connections can help restaurants incorporate orders into existing systems, but the order API's acceptance requirement means it is not described as a feed for unreviewed incoming orders.

Online payments are optional and connect GloriaFood to a payment gateway, with funds going directly to the restaurant’s account. The maker also lists contact@gloriafood.com for questions and feedback. Account holders are responsible for protecting credentials and reporting unauthorized use to Oracle.

Pricing

The Free service plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes unlimited orders, unlimited locations, no per-order commission, and no monthly fee. Its included ordering and reservation tools make it the clearest choice for a business that needs low-cost digital ordering now and can accept the product's end-of-life date.

Restaurant POS System: 49.00 USD per month, billed per location, with a 2-year commitment and a free POS starter kit. The commitment extends well beyond the announced end-of-life date, so this plan is a poor choice for a new long-term purchase.
Online / Credit Card Payment Service: 29.00 USD per month. It adds online payment processing through a gateway, with payments sent directly to the restaurant’s account.
Table Reservation Deposits: 0.50 USD per month, charged only for accepted bookings. This suits restaurants that want reservation deposits without paying on rejected bookings.
Advanced Promo Marketing: 19.00 USD per month for client segmentation and target profiling across multiple promotions. It is aimed at operators with a reason to run segmented campaigns rather than those who only need the included promotions.

The paid options add specific services rather than changing the free plan’s order and location limits, which are already unlimited. The end-of-life date remains the central pricing consideration, particularly alongside the two-year POS commitment.

Platforms

GloriaFood supports Android, iOS, web, and API use. The mobile app gives staff a way to manage orders and bookings on iOS and Android, while the APIs support connections with third-party systems.

Who it's for

GloriaFood makes the most sense for food businesses that need ordering, reservations, or both, and want to avoid order commissions and monthly fees at the entry level. Its included QR, social-link, and scheduled-order options can suit table-service restaurants, coffee shops, and food trucks. Businesses choosing a system to keep beyond April 30, 2027 should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited orders and locations on the free plan, with no monthly fee or per-order commission, remove common cost barriers for operators starting online ordering.
Pro: Website, mobile, QR, social-link, and reservation options are included, giving restaurants several customer entry points in one service.
Pro: POS and delivery integrations, plus menu and order APIs, provide routes to connect GloriaFood with other restaurant systems.
Con: The April 30, 2027 end-of-life date limits its suitability as a durable operating platform.
Con: The POS plan requires a two-year commitment even though the product's announced support horizon is shorter for new deployments.

SpotOn Restaurant is worth considering when a business wants POS software and hardware, ordering, payments, table layouts, menu management, and reporting in one paid package; its plan has a two-year minimum term and processing minimums apply. 7shifts is a better fit when employee scheduling and location limits matter: its free Comp plan caps at 15 employees and one location, while Essentials allows 30 employees and unlimited locations.

HungerRush may suit a restaurant seeking online ordering with a free Starter option, provided it qualifies and can work within one location and one POS terminal. Heartland Retail is another freemium option, with its POS starting at 89.00 USD per month. Lightspeed Restaurant is a paid alternative with a 69.00 USD per month Starter plan that includes customizable POS, a menu manager, floor plans, advanced insights, offline mode, and 24/7 support.

Sapaad is a paid option with a 99.00 USD per month Essentials plan billed once every 24 months, for a single outlet and up to 10,000 customers. Squirrel Systems offers paid restaurant plans, including a Limited Service option at 90.00 USD per month billed monthly, with device pricing and volume pricing available. Gasty is a freemium alternative for readers comparing restaurant software with marketplace ordering and virtual-waiter options.

Verdict

Choose GloriaFood if you run a restaurant, coffee shop, or food truck that needs a broad ordering and reservation setup without per-order fees, and you can plan around its April 30, 2027 end of life. Its free plan is unusually open on order volume and locations, but the fixed sunset—and especially the two-year POS commitment—makes it difficult to recommend for a new long-term system.
