Overview

Mybers is membership software for associations, clubs, studios, and gyms that combines member records with dues, programming, payments, and communications. It is best suited to small and mid-sized groups that want unlimited member records and tools beyond billing. The free plan makes it possible to start without a subscription, but email quotas and transaction fees shape the cost of using it.

Key features

Member records and programming

Custom fields, membership levels, tags, self-registration, a member portal, and QR code cards cover both administration and member access. Events can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid, with ticket sales, registration, and check-in; recurring classes and appointments extend the system to groups with regular programming. That breadth favors organizations managing activities alongside membership, rather than those seeking dues billing alone.

Payments and communications

Payments run through the organization’s own Stripe account, with funds going directly to it. Self-serve plans charge a flat 1% on dues and 2% on class passes, an ongoing cost to weigh against the convenience of keeping payment processing connected to membership operations. Email broadcasts support audience filters, merge fields, scheduling, and delivery tracking, with CAN-SPAM-compliant unsubscribe links.

AI, integrations, and data handling

Mynd adds an AI phone agent for inbound calls and renewal outreach, plain-English queries of member data, drafted communications, and a setup assistant. These tools may help teams handle routine communication and questions, though the core value remains the membership system around them. Listed integrations include HubSpot, Mailchimp, Stripe, Slack, Zapier, and QuickBooks; access can be self-serve, managed, or custom depending on plan.

Mybers offers scoped API keys, a REST API, and HMAC-signed webhooks. Each webhook is delivered once, with no automatic retry, so organizations relying on webhook events should account for missed deliveries in their integration workflows. Its privacy policy describes encryption in transit and scoped access controls; it says payment identifiers and amounts are stored instead of full card numbers, and customer data is not used to train third-party foundation models. Organizations retain control of their members’ data.

Pricing

Mybers is freemium, with a 14-day trial and card payments. Starter is free forever and includes unlimited members and 500 emails per month. That is a useful no-subscription starting point, but a modest allowance for groups that communicate frequently.

Club costs $39/month and includes unlimited members, 5,000 emails per month, a flat 1% fee on dues, and 2% on class passes. It raises the email ceiling substantially while keeping the same listed transaction rates. Pro costs $79/month, includes 10,000 emails per month and the same transaction rates, and adds AI voice/SMS usage credits; priority support with an SLA is also included. It suits organizations that need more email capacity or value those support and AI additions, though usage credits are not described as unlimited.

Enterprise has custom pricing and unlimited members. The published plan details do not give it an email quota. All three published tiers have unlimited members, making email volume and feature needs more relevant plan distinctions than member count.

Platforms

Mybers supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. It installs from a browser on iOS, Android, and desktop without an app store; branded organization apps are included on Club and above. That gives lower-cost users browser-based access rather than an organization-branded app.

Who it's for

Mybers is aimed initially at associations with 50–5,000 members and also serves gyms, nonprofits, clubs, congregations, and other member groups. Migration support includes imports from other platforms or CSV, field mapping, a dry-run preview, and one-click undo within 24 hours. The company names WildApricot, MemberClicks, MemberPlanet, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Eventbrite as migration sources. Club includes standard support; Pro adds priority support with an SLA. Support requests can go through the dashboard feedback button or support@mybers.com.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited members on every published tier avoids a per-member ceiling as a group grows.
Pros: Member administration, events, classes, payments, and email sit in one system, serving organizations that run regular programming as well as collect dues.
Pros: A free-forever Starter tier and browser installation on mobile and desktop give organizations a way to begin without an app-store install.
Cons: Starter’s 500 monthly emails may constrain regular outreach, and the paid tiers still impose monthly email caps.
Cons: Self-serve dues and class-pass transactions carry 1% and 2% fees, respectively.
Cons: Webhooks are delivered only once with no automatic retry, which raises the burden on teams that depend on reliable event delivery.

Alternatives

For a different balance of pricing and audience, consider ChamberedIn, Givebear, memberplanet, MemberOrganizer, Recur, ClubExpress, and WildApricot; ClubRunner is another option.

ChamberedIn may suit organizations willing to consider a paid platform with a $499/month Premier plan for 250 members or a no-upfront-cost Revenue Share plan. Givebear is worth considering when donor contacts and email are the focus: its free tier includes 50 donor contacts and 100 emails a month, while Plus costs $29/month. Memberplanet has a free Basic tier with unlimited members and admins, while its Essentials plan costs $50/month and includes a 2% platform fee and 1,000 campaign emails; it may fit groups comparing those specific limits and terms.

MemberOrganizer may suit organizations comfortable with euro-denominated, member-count pricing: its plans start at €110/month for 0–300 members, with prices excluding VAT. Recur offers a paid alternative with a monthly plan at $100/month for up to 1,000 contacts or an annual plan at $1,100/year, equivalent to $92/month, also for up to 1,000 contacts. ClubExpress is a paid alternative with plans organized by member-count bands. WildApricot is another paid option, with a 100-contact plan at $66/month. ClubRunner is another alternative.

Verdict

Mybers is a strong fit for small and mid-sized member organizations that want unlimited member records alongside events, classes, communications, and dues in one system. The free entry point and range of operational tools are its clearest reasons to choose it. Groups with heavy email needs, significant transaction volume, or integrations that cannot tolerate one-shot webhook delivery should weigh the caps, fees, and delivery behavior carefully before committing.
