Overview

FlexClip is a browser-based video editor with conventional clip controls and a broad set of AI-assisted creation tools. It is best suited to solo creators and small teams who want to assemble or repurpose videos without leaving one platform. Its range is useful, but the free plan's 720p ceiling and commercial-use restriction make it a poor fit for finished commercial work.

The editor supports trimming, splitting, cropping, merging, rotation, resizing and speed changes, alongside text, transitions, animations, overlays, stickers, music, sound effects and voiceovers. This combination favors projects that need both straightforward edits and creative additions; users seeking a desktop-first workflow should look elsewhere, since FlexClip has no desktop app.

Key features

AI tools cover avatars, long-video-to-shorts, text-to-speech, text-based editing, PPT-to-video, automatic subtitles, text-to-video, voice cloning and AI image generation. That breadth gives creators several ways to begin or adapt a project, from a presentation to existing long-form footage. AI tools are available on free trials, but regular free use is constrained by project and export caps.

Exports support 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 and 21:9 aspect ratios, up to 4K on paid plans. Free downloads are limited to 720p. Media can be imported from a computer, phone, Google Drive, Google Photos, OneDrive or Dropbox, and finished videos can be shared to YouTube or those three cloud services. Long-to-Shorts clips can also be published directly to YouTube and LinkedIn.

Created videos and uploaded assets are private by default; FlexClip says it accesses content only with explicit permission to resolve an issue. It says payment details are encrypted and sent to a third-party processor rather than stored on its servers, and it adheres to GDPR, including rights for EEA users. Support replies within 2–4 business days, a potentially slow turnaround when a project is blocked.

Pricing

FlexClip is freemium, with no free trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, billed monthly, and allows 12 online projects, videos up to 10 minutes, one stock video and one stock audio per project, and 720p export. It is suitable for occasional personal projects or evaluating the editor, not commercial publishing: free users cannot use stock resources or AI-generated content commercially.

Plus costs 19.99 USD per month, billed monthly. It raises stock allowances to five videos and five audio files per project, and includes 30GB cloud space, 100GB video hosting and 100 custom templates. It is the entry paid choice for solo creators who need more stock and storage; subscribers may use stock resources and AI-generated content commercially.

Business costs 29.99 USD per month, billed monthly. It includes 100GB cloud space, 1TB video hosting, 200 custom templates and unlimited stock video and audio per project. This is the better fit for frequent stock-heavy production, though the higher storage and template allowances may be unnecessary for lighter work.

Team costs 69.99 USD per month, billed monthly, and starts with three seats; additional seats are available. It adds team management and collaboration, making it the tier for groups rather than an individual simply seeking higher media allowances. Team subscribers may also use stock resources and AI-generated content commercially.

Platforms

FlexClip offers web, Android and iOS access. Its FAQ says the online version is currently usable on Google Chrome. Although Windows is among its supported platforms, there is no desktop app; the FAQ describes a Windows desktop version as compatible with Windows 10. That distinction matters for anyone expecting a native Windows editing application.

Who it's for

FlexClip suits creators who want a mix of manual editing, AI-assisted video generation and cloud-based media imports, especially those making short-form clips or adapting existing material. Its paid plans serve solo users needing more stock and hosting, as well as teams needing seats and collaboration. It is less suitable for commercial users who need to stay on the free tier, people who require a native desktop app, or users whose browser is not Chrome.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad creation toolkit: Manual editing controls and AI options such as text-to-video, subtitles and long-video-to-shorts cover different starting points.
Flexible import and delivery: Cloud imports and direct sharing to major storage services reduce the need to move files manually between those services and the editor.
Clear upgrade path: Paid tiers scale from solo stock allowances to unlimited per-project stock and team collaboration.

Cons

Free exports stop at 720p: That cap limits the free plan for viewers or projects that require higher-resolution delivery.
Free use is not commercial: Stock resources and AI-generated content cannot be used commercially by free users.
Browser and app constraints: The web version is currently limited to Chrome, and there is no desktop app.
Support is not immediate: The stated 2–4 business-day reply window may not suit time-sensitive production issues.

Choose it for that flexibility and the cloud import and publishing options; look elsewhere if commercial use must remain free, you need a non-Chrome browser workflow, or a native desktop editor is essential.
