Overview

Founded in Melbourne in 2015, HammerTech brings subcontractor management, worker orientations, hazard planning, permits, inspections, incidents and daily reporting together. That breadth can help multi-site contractors keep recurring safety processes in one system, though it may be more platform than a small operation needs.

Users can work through web, Android or iOS apps, with the same login across web and mobile. HammerTech also offers an API. The platform identifies itself as ISO 9001:2015 certified and SOC 2 Type 1.

Key features

Safety and site workflows

Coverage spans subcontractor management, orientations, JHAs, SDS, pre-task plans, permits, inspections, observations, incidents, corrective actions, safety training, hazard assessments, daily reports and site access. Contractors seeking a shared home for these related processes have a clear reason to consider HammerTech. Teams needing only inspection management may not benefit from its broader scope.

AI assistance

HammerTech Intelligence can convert pre-task plans into tasks and hazards, fill out site observations from photos, and extract SDS information from PDFs. These capabilities target documentation work that otherwise requires manual entry; they complement the platform's workflow coverage rather than replacing the need to review site records.

Integrations and support

Named integrations include Procore, Autodesk, CMiC, Irongate, Eyrus, Kwant, Acumatica and LUMA1, while the Open API supports custom integrations. Integrations must be enabled by HammerTech, so teams should account for that access step when planning connections. Pricing includes implementation and onboarding, training, ongoing customer support and knowledge-hub access, a useful package for organizations rolling the platform out across sites.

Pricing

HammerTech has no general free plan and uses custom pricing tailored to operational scale and complexity, including annual construction volume and active job-site count. It does not charge per user, which may suit large workforces, but buyers will need a quote to assess the cost for their operation.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Subcontractor access	0.00 USD per free	Free access for subcontractors, provided by the general contractor managing the project.
HammerTech	Custom pricing	Core safety workflows, integrations, onboarding, training and support, with pricing tailored to operational scale and complexity.

Subcontractor access is not a standalone free tier for a contractor evaluating the full platform: access depends on a general contractor using HammerTech. The main plan includes the core workflows and rollout support, with no per-user charge, but its tailored price makes direct budget comparison dependent on a quote.

Platforms

HammerTech supports web, Android and iOS, along with API access. The shared login across web and mobile makes it practical for teams switching between office administration and field work.

Who it's for

HammerTech is aimed at commercial and infrastructure contractors managing multiple job sites. Its broad workflow set, mobile access and implementation support are suited to organizations coordinating safety processes across an operation. Very small teams and single-project businesses are a poor fit; a focused or lower-commitment product is more appropriate for them.

Pros and cons

Broad construction coverage: Safety, compliance and site operations sit together, from subcontractor management to daily reports.
AI support for documentation: Plan transcription, photo-based observation autofill and PDF SDS extraction can reduce repetitive record entry.
Mobile and web continuity: One login works across the apps and web platform, supporting office-to-site workflows.
Quote-based pricing: No per-user pricing can work for large teams, but the tailored model requires a quote before buyers can judge cost.
Limited fit for small operations: Very small teams and single-project operators are explicitly a poor match for the platform's intended scale.
Integration enablement required: HammerTech must enable integrations, adding a step for teams connecting existing systems.

Alternatives

Safesite is a better fit for teams that want a free starting tier: it supports Android, iOS and web, with unlimited members and guests, though reporting is limited to the last 30 days. Its Premium plan is 16.00 USD per month, billed per member per month, so HammerTech's no-per-user model may be preferable for large workforces if its quote suits the budget.

HCSS is another paid option across Android, API, iOS, web and Windows, with custom quotes requiring company type and role.

EHS Insight offers a paid cloud-based solution with mobile offline capabilities, dashboards and reports, and a free trial; consider it when offline mobile work is a priority.

Simple Safety Coach offers a published 275.00 USD per year plan for up to 25 managed employees, billed at $3,300 annually with a $275 monthly equivalent. Choose it when that employee cap and price structure fit better than HammerTech's tailored, multi-site model.

Donesafe uses custom pricing based on application modules, worker count and support services, and offers a free trial.

Field1st is priced by quote after a short conversation about the operation and supports Android, API, iOS and web.

HSE Connect has published monthly plans at 58.00 USD for 1-3 staff and 85.00 USD for 4-10 staff; both include all features, with setup fees of $495 and $695 respectively. It may suit smaller teams seeking defined staff bands and upfront monthly pricing.

Intelex Inspection Management is an alternative for teams focused on inspection management.

Verdict

Choose HammerTech if you are a commercial or infrastructure contractor coordinating safety and site workflows across multiple active locations and want mobile access, AI-assisted documentation and implementation support in the same platform. Its broad coverage is the central advantage. Look elsewhere if you run a very small team or a single project, or if you need a published price before engaging a vendor.
